King Tee & Mixmaster Spade with The Compton Posse | Ya Better Bring A Gun | 1987
Westcoast rapper and Gangsta Rap pioneer King Tee released this 12-inch record in 1987. The A-side track 'The Coolest' was available on King Tee's debut album 'Act Like A Fool', whereas the B-Side track 'Ya Better Bring A Gun' was left out. It features The Compton Posse (Hit Man J., Ro, DJ Var, Sweet Tooth, Papa and DJ Slick) and the lyrics are about modern violence and crime, something only a few rappers at that time were rapping about, such as Public Enemy and The Ghetto Boys.
