Elbow propped up on the table, Jihyo scrolled through her instagram idly, occasionally pausing to type a reply before continuing to swipe up on her phone. The small cafe was nearly empty, for lunch hours were long over and the working adults were all back at their office, except for a few teenagers still in their school uniform chatting away in a corner.
Ideally she had no assignment today to get to and would have gotten off to find Jongkook, if it weren’t for this meet up regarding that two lame, little shrimps held captive by her. If those two morons had the audacity to interrupt her during her assignment and tried to be funny, then they ought to endure the consequences for doing that. And by consequences, she meant that she proceeded to beat them into oblivion before tying them up and throwing them somewhere in an abandoned warehouse. Too weak. Couldn’t even tolerate barely a kick to the part where the sun doesn’t shine.
Sure. They had proudly declared that they were from Syndicate. But so what? She thought Syndicate was the smart one, why did they even accept stupid people like those into the gang? Not that it was any of her business. But since a representative from Syndicate had kindly requested to meet up for a negotiation, she would gladly take up that offer.
She sipped her cup of coffee without looking away from her phone, and only looked up when a guy approached her table. He looked awfully familiar to her but she couldn’t remember at that moment if she had seen him before. “If you’re the one I’m supposed to meet, have a seat. If you’re here to try out trashy pick up lines, you can get lost now.”
