GET TO KNOW ME MEME:[1/4] favorite actresses MJ RODRIGUEZ (On being casted as Audrey in A Little Shop of Horrors...) Well, I get to break down stereotypical, stigmaed characters that are naturally seen and played by you know cis-gendered, white, blonde women. And I also get break down that stigma of how white women who are blonde are dumb, or African-American women can't play, or Latina women can't play you know Audrey. And I was like I'm going to tackle this and I'm going to live in this moment and I'm going to stand up for people who haven't gotten that oppurtunity.

Happy Pride Month LGBT+ Celebrities (11/30) MJ Rodriguez There's been such an influx of love because of Pose. A lot of kids tell me that Blanca reminds them of their own mothers. Or they tell me that their parents didn't accept them when they came out as gay or trans, and that watching this show helped their families come around. Those stories make my heart swell. I've always wanted to be a voice for my community and now that I have the opportunity, it's hard to explain just how amazing it feels.
