"Are you crazy?"

“No, I’m serious, this could work.” He turned towards her, his eyes crazed–a manner so different from his usual self. He was typically calm, gentle. But the person that claimed to be him now was anything but. “I’ve got to leave. Maybe I’ll go to Australia. London. Paris. Anywhere but here.” He shook his head, stepping towards her. “Come with me.”

♘: Cuddling in a blanket fort

Maxwell’s eyebrow raised at the sight of the blanket fort. “Is this what you spent all day doing?” A laugh couldn’t help but escape as he asked the question, watching Hoseok poke his head out from the “entrance” of the fort to wave him inside. “Are you sure I can even fit in there…?” Nevertheless, he crouched down towards the fort’s entrance, kicking off his shoes and attempting to squeeze his 6 foot frame into the house of blankets, being careful not to untuck any of the work Hoseok had done. Another laugh rumbled from the pit of his belly as he felt Hoseok fall on top of him, his own arms sliding around the smaller male out of habit. “We could have just cuddled on the couch, you know,” Max teased as he shifted their position into one with more comfort, allowing Hoseok to slide right against his side. “It would have saved cleaning all of these blankets later.”

♠: Your muse adjusting their jewelry/neck tie/ etc.

“Why is this tie so uncomfortable…” Maxwell grumbled to himself, turning towards the mirror and attempting to adjust the piece of fabric around his neck. He heard Sehun approach him, and light dust of pink trickled over his cheeks at the other’s touch. His own hands dropped to his sides as he watched Sehun’s long fingers carefully, twisting the tie in ways different than what Max was doing previously. He felt himself being able to breathe easier and a relieved grin appeared on his face. “Thanks Sehun,” he widened his grin, his eyes flickering to the mirror to examine himself. “It definitely looks a lot better, thanks to you.”

♦: Slow dancing

“This is my favorite song,” Maxwell suddenly broke out into a smile–albeit a shy one–as his ears perked up to the tune of the ballad. He started to hum along, extending his hand out to her. “Dance with me.” A soft laugh fell from his lips as he took her hand, his free arm sliding around her slender waist as he twirled her around and around, his feet bouncing along to the rhythm of the song.

♟: Patching up a wound

“You really ought to be more careful,” Maxwell tried to scold her, clicking his tongue and shaking his head as he kneeled down with the first aid kit resting on the floor. “You work too much. You should take a break. The more you wear yourself out, the more careless mistakes you’ll make and the next thing you know, you’re going to end up in the hospital from overexhaustion.” He shook his head, carefully cleaning the wound on her knee. He had caught Jessica mid fall, passing out from overworking herself, and Maxwell’s protective nature automatically kicked into gear. His normally composed, gentle self shifted into demanding, authoritative figure when he noticed her getting hurt. Her knee had hit the edge of the table on her way down, and the amount of blood coming out was starting to worry him. “Please be careful, okay? Go home and get some rest.”

♚: Head scratches

“Ahhh, if I have to read one more manuscript about a disgruntled teenage girl finding love through an unprecedented way, I might actually succumb to tears,” Maxwell complained out loud, his head moving to plop down on Nicole’s lap. He sighed out loud when he felt her fingers weave through his hair, moving to scratch his scalp to lessen the tension and he widened his grin, murmuring more to himself than to her. “This is perfect.”

♝: Reading a book together

Maxwell bit down on his lip, glancing over at Siwan skeptically. “Are you sure you have time for this? I don’t mind if you have to go and practice or something… being an idol must be hard, I presume.” His brow furrowed in worry at the other’s schedule before sighing in defeat, taking out a novel he had been waiting all week to show Siwan. “If you really don’t want to go, I’ve been reading this book, it’s called This is How You Lose Her by Junto Diaz. It’s brilliant, really.” A shy grin crossed over Maxwell’s features as he settled back down against the other, clearing his throat and beginning to read out loud with a soft voice. “…you whispered my full name and we fell asleep in each other’s arms and I remember how the next morning you were gone, completely gone, and nothing in my bed or the house could have proven otherwise.”
