chimera part 5
Reverto!
The blood got absorbed and the black lines that were reaching her shoulder retracted to the original site. But it didn’t heal. Instead, the speed slowed down a lot.
Looking at the still moving poison in her body, she pulled her whip and wound in around her arm, tying a knot tightly. The tears of pain still flew out, but she just bit on the whip while cutting of all her blood supply to the infected arm.
It was painful to see, but they still saw. Many couldn’t stop the tears that they shed at her pain. Taking a deep breath, Luna stood up. Her whip was wound against her arm and she was weaponless.
But that never meant defenseless.
To take down a psychopath, you need to become a psychopath……
She whispered, making many leaguers look at her weirdly.
To take down a criminal, you need to become a criminal……

.
.
….and to take down a beast, you need to become a beast.
A light shimmered around her, before snapping of the bones could be heard. The light glowed stronger and many pained groans could be heard. They saw the shift, and saw the end.
A white wolf, as large as the beast stood in her place. If it wasn’t for the black veins and the whip around the front paw, they wouldn’t had recognized her.
It’s time.
Luna thought before a howl released from her throat. The team and the akuma stopped and looked at the source.
Is that…?
A warning growl left her throat as she took threatening steps towards the akuma. The chimera growled and hissed, but the giant wolf didn’t stop. Every step that she took was slow and menacing.
It was like a beast giving a few moments to its prey to turn back and flee. Ladybug looked at the familiar whip on the front limb and breathed a sigh of relief.
It was Luna. Their Luna.
Let’s retreat.
She said softly. In a fight of two beasts, there are only two outcomes for one side. Either it’s a victory or defeat. But that also comes with another outcome.
Grave injuries.
If it is Luna, who stood until the end, then there is no worry. But if it is the akuma…….
……ladybug shook her head to erase that thought.
There is no such thing as that. She won’t let that happen.
The chimera tensed and jumped towards the wolf, but missed by long shot as it slid under it and clawed at the snake. It wasn’t a deep wound but the shallow marks still bled.
The yellow eyes flashed with mockery making the akuma roar in fury. The next few minutes were too difficult for anyone to comprehend. It was a brawl. No, it was worst than a brawl.
It was like a death match. The chimera was held down by the wolf many times but the snake for a tail was too much to handle for her. In order to not being bitten again, she had to let go of the akuma a few times.
Ladybug and Honeybee once grabbed the snake and pulled enough to distract the beast, making Luna attack the akuma with quick succession. The face below now had no eyes, while one of the eyes of the beast was bleeding.
Luna wasn’t unscathed. The amount of bite marks and claw wounds were enough to prove that she wasn’t in as good shape as they thought. A moment of distraction and she was head butted by the akuma, making her slam against the wall.
Ryu quickly used lightening dragon, gaining the attention of the akuma once again. In the mean time, the wolf shrank and they could see Luna leaning against the wall gasping for air. The black veins grew and the nearly reached her elbow, but without the care, she stood up again.
Flying above the fight, Nadja bit her lips. This was the very first akuma attack where she hadn’t said a single world. No one could even blame her. All the survivors in the akuma shelter were silent.
Many prayed, cried and helplessly looked at the bloodiest battle. Luna was injured but that still didn’t stop her from standing again and again. Adrian looked at the screen with dull eyes. He wanted to laugh at her misery but the only emotion he had was regret.
The regret of not knowing what he was doing before and ignoring the potential danger of the battle they were fighting.
Wonder woman was praying again and again. She didn’t stop for a moment. To see children fighting for life and death, she had never seen such calamity. But here it was, right in front of them.
Ladybug lead the rest of the team, giving Luna a few minutes of rest. Taking deep breaths, she leaned against the wall before standing up. Wiping her nose, she saw blood at the back of her hand.
The whole arm was turning black. But instead of dewelling on this, she looked at the akuma. Even with this much injuries, the strength wasn’t any less than before.
Her hand twitched before a familiar weapon appeared in her hand.
Shi'ne! (Die)
Jumping up, the blade was thrown towards the snake head, but the snake jerked back. Instead of panicking, Luna calmly stared.
Because it was never intended for the snake in the first place.
