Chapter 34 - Preview:
Leading his siblings into the shadows of the nearest alleyway, Hugo peered out into the street. It still seemed to be empty, but he couldn’t take any chances. Not after he’d so royally fucked up with a miraculous as a teenager.
Out here, the emotions were stronger than ever, pressing on his skin and seeking a way through. They felt dense and heavy, pushing him into the ground. But he pushed back, fortifying his psychic boundaries until he felt able to stand tall again.
Convinced they were alone, he turned around and faced the twins. The moonlight beamed down between the buildings that sandwiched them in, finding his siblings, so they looked like they were glowing. Or maybe that was their magic kicking in – their excitement over what was about to happen. Both of them were staring at him with wide, eager eyes, waiting…waiting….
Time to give them what they want.
