Chapter 34 - Preview:

Leading his siblings into the shadows of the nearest alleyway, Hugo peered out into the street. It still seemed to be empty, but he couldn’t take any chances. Not after he’d so royally fucked up with a miraculous as a teenager.

Out here, the emotions were stronger than ever, pressing on his skin and seeking a way through. They felt dense and heavy, pushing him into the ground. But he pushed back, fortifying his psychic boundaries until he felt able to stand tall again.

Convinced they were alone, he turned around and faced the twins. The moonlight beamed down between the buildings that sandwiched them in, finding his siblings, so they looked like they were glowing. Or maybe that was their magic kicking in – their excitement over what was about to happen. Both of them were staring at him with wide, eager eyes, waiting…waiting….

Time to give them what they want.

I'm not having a good day today so I'm going to try cheer me up with my ideas of my ml future au.

Hugo is the holder of the butterfly miraculous and is trying to show to Paris what the miraculous was truly made for.

Marinette and adrien knows each other identities but their kids not, which makes difficult to them in battle because they can't not act like worried parents (Luis got himself in too much sentimonsters attacks and adrien almost got a heart attack one day)

Emma is 18 Hugo is 14 and Luis is 8 years old.

Alya and nino have two kids a boy how is 15 C (trans) and a girl that is 7 years old A (I still don't have names to them)

Hugo is very quiet and looks grumpy; he's not disrespectful with anyone he just looks grumpy, kid is a sweetheart like his parents but took too much of his mother sense of justice.

C takes care of Luis, he also loves taking pictures of literally anything so he walks with a camera all day. He got that love for pictures from Alya that always brought him to her job (she is a professional now) and she always let him play with the camera even putting some of his pictures on the news (always with the caption of "Little fox pictures ❤" and she still put his pictures on her news and he loves that.

A is very quiet and is always calling her bro attention and helping him out as she can, she likes helping everyone especially Marinette when she needs a kid model.

Emma is very similar to ladybug and chat noir in personality she also a little overthinker, and already got in a fight after someone said Hugo was like gabriel and he would be a villain just like him (there's a heavy situation on Hugo because of this but it would be a spoiler)

Luis I very energetic, he always thinks the sentimonsters are sad so he wants to give them comfort strangely the peacock holder don't let the sentimonsters hurt Luis which makes ladybug and chat noir very confuse (unfortunately the sentimonsters are destroyed and he cries for days, that's one of the whys he is keep very far away from the attack not just because is dangerous).

Chapter 12 Preview:

After his morning lesson, Hugo had a free period. With no other plans, he headed into one of the art studios. At this hour, only three other people were in the room. Absorbed in their own work, they didn’t even look up at him when he walked in, or when he hauled an easel out of the storage room and set it up in a corner.

Just the way he liked it.

Earbuds in, he pinned a thick sheet of paper to the easel and pulled his materials out of his bag. Then he settled on a stool and got to work.

Seven sheets of paper later, his hand swiped across the latest page, filling it with rough charcoal marks. Up close, they didn’t look like much. But when he leaned back to get perspective, the face was clear as day, the features implied by white spaces.

His father, the way he’d looked this morning in the kitchen. Washed out, wrung dry, and left hanging, so wrinkled it was hard to imagine him ever regaining his original shape.

Leaning in again, Hugo focused on the eyes, bending them at the corners. Adding faint creases in the surrounding skin – the scars of age, pain, but most of all, laughter.

You’ll come back, Papa. You always do.

On the page, the face seemed to smile at him, grateful for his belief.

Chapter 15 Preview:

Hugo turned to his mother, sitting rigid beside him on the bed. ‘Aren’t you going to go after Papa?’

Slowly, she dragged her gaze from the window, fixing it on Hugo. ‘No. He needs space.’

Hugo shifted in discomfort. Her emotions were thick and dense – and unstable. Like a lump of jelly. Even without telepathy, he would’ve understood. She wasn’t simply giving his father space. She was hanging back with Hugo because she didn’t trust Gabriel.

As calm as she appeared, anger hummed beneath the surface, making Hugo’s skin vibrate. Yet, the emotion expressed by her aura was more complicated. Sympathy, dark like chocolate, flecked with the brilliance of shock.

She stared at Gabriel, and a question flew Hugo’s way.

Should you forgive someone just because they’re too old to do any more harm?

Closure (Breaking Free #5) - Chapter 4

PREVIEW:

Hugo hugged himself, rubbing his arms against a chill. As he returned his attention to the room, it was glowing with colour. A sign that he was letting his nerves get the best of him. If he didn’t get this under control, he might start having one of his infamous fits in front of some prestigious art critic.

Come on, Hugo, pull yourself together.

He drew in a long, deep breath, letting it out slowly the way his father had trained him.

Annihilator of fear, annihilator or fear…you’ve got this.

With his next exhalation, his body started to relax – when someone entered the room, her presence so strong that it almost threw him back against the windows.

Alejandro stepped back from the painting, taking in Hugo’s reaction like it was another part of the exhibition. He twisted around to see what Hugo saw, then grinned again. ‘Oh yeah, didn’t you know she’d be here?’

‘No? How did you know?’

‘She told me in class this morning.’

Hugo’s heart surged with envy. Oh, to be able to speak to Samia so easily. Even after sharing classes with her for more than three years, it was still a struggle to form complete sentences around her.

Chapter 7 Preview:

Hugo twisted round, looking at the front door of the building. People were pushing out, walking their way at an anxious pace.

‘What if I walk you home?’ Samia said.

He jerked back around. ‘What?’

‘You know. Just in case it gets too…overwhelming.’ She gestured at the people now rushing past, smearing him with their frightened auras as they went by.

The thought of being alone with Samia, after she’d just witnessed one of his rare meltdowns, made Hugo’s stomach twist. But the more sensible part of his brain won out. ‘That…makes sense. Thank you.’

‘Do you live on campus?’

‘No, I…live with my parents.’ He turned to Alejandro. ‘Are you coming with us?’

Alejandro’s gaze flickered to Samia before landing on Hugo again. ‘I think I’ll check on the exhibition, actually. Let them know you had to go home, keep an eye on our displays…that kind of thing. But message me later?’

There was an undercurrent of, I expect details.
