Mannnn I love the idea of Fury!! Although, the show keeps having its flaws (oh mannn did this episode have some background character design flaws), but the idea that the bee miraculous is always a bit "problematic" is such a trill!! And the fact that they're somewhat opposites too? Queen Bee wants to be in the spotlight, while Fury's a shadow. But then both being a form of vigilante haha

Marinette is not a morally grey character she just got put in a morally grey situation.

A morally grey character is somone who’s morals exist outside the realm of good or bad set determined by the show/society most commonly by falling somewhere in between them.

Marinette vs Zoe in morality.

Marinette has clear morals that align with what the show decides is good, she hates lying but does it to protect Adrien and doesn’t want to hurt people

Zoe leans mostly towards good but makes choices that don’t align her with the morals of the show, she sometime lies to protect herself and will hurt people she thinks deserve it

Marinette tries to find ways out of the hole she dug but is stuck in inaction bc the severity of the situation is terrifying to her

Zoe can be convinced to stop her vigilante action but is quick to relapse into it once she is reminded of why she did it in the first place.

Marinette is focused on protecting the people she thinks don’t deserve to have their life ruined by the truth, and is willing to suffer to preserve them.

Zoe is focused on hurting the people she thinks don’t deserve to get away with what they’re doing and is ultimately trying to relieve her frustration.

I like both of these characters and arcs I just fully disagree that marinette is suddenly morally grey bc of this one decision

I cannot look at Fury and not think of her as a perfect Shadowbug child. You tell me that this Dark Violent Yellow Eye Bug Themed Vigilantie/Supervillan with a mover rating that picked a fight with a child (Taylor would be proud) and bullying people with use of superpowers (Sophia would be proud) is not a ideal choice. Give Fury the mouse, and Paris will know why BB feared Skitter.

It only lacks killing nazis now...

The cruel lack of subtlety of the bee miraculous being the miraculous of action.

How Chloe took action into her own hands

How when Chloe was given the power of action she started to improve

How powerless she felt without Action

How Chloe was robbed of her action of her agency

Then Zoe was given Chloe’s action

And Zoe took action into her own hands just the same as Chloe.

I’m starting to see that Zoe is still a bully,

She plays mean pranks

She abuses her power over others

She taunts and berates

And she does all of this under a mask

She never changed her ways she changed her targets
