ᯓ★ Profile 1 : Private Accounts
ᯓ★ Profile 2 : Not So Private Accounts
The flashing cameras and murmuring crowd felt like a dream come true for Lila.
Draped in the beautiful, floral decorated gown that she had "designed," she basked in the attention of Paris’s most prestigious reporters, her smile dazzling.
"And to think," one reporter gushed, "for years, MDC remained an enigma! What inspired you to step forward now, Miss Rossi?"
Lila laughed lightly, placing a delicate hand on her chest. "Oh, I just couldn't stay in the shadows forever, could I?" she said with a graceful shrug. "My art is my soul, and I wanted to share that with all of you."
The crowd ate it up.
They believed her.
And why wouldn’t they? MDC had always been a mystery. No face, no interviews—just raw talent and breathtaking designs. And now, Lila had taken that talent and wrapped it around herself like the finest silk.
She had won.
At least, until the venue doors swung open.
Felix and Marinette stepped inside.
Lila’s stomach twisted.
She knew that look on Marinette’s face—calm, steady, unyielding.
This was bad.
Lila’s smile slightly wavered as she stood tall before Marinette and Felix, the cameras still flashing around her.
“Felix, Marinette,” she greeted smoothly, as if she hadn’t just been caught red-handed. “What a surprise! I didn’t expect to see you here tonight.”
Marinette narrowed her eyes. “Did you think I wouldn’t show up to my own debut?”
Lila blinked before letting out a light, airy laugh. “Your debut?” she echoed, feigning confusion. “Oh, Marinette, dear, I think you’re misunderstanding. MDC has been making waves for months now, but I suppose you could say tonight is my grand reveal.”
Marinette didn’t smile. "Cut the act, Lila."
Gasps rippled through the reporters.
Lila blinked, tilting her head in a practiced confusion. "I’m sorry?"
Not just from Lila—but from some of the reporters, too.
"I… I think you must be mistaken," Lila said sweetly, her expression full of gentle concern. "I designed this dress. I am MDC." She gave a tinkling laugh. "Oh, Marinette, I know you love fashion, but maybe you’re a little confused?"
More laughter.
Marinette’s stomach twisted, but she clenched her fists. "I’m not confused. You stole my design."
The confidence in her voice was overwhelming. The murmurs started then.
"But I thought Lila was MDC?"
"Who even is this girl?"
"She’s Marinette Dupain-Cheng," one reporter whispered. "Tom and Sabine’s daughter—you know, the bakers."
"The bakers?" Another scoffed. "And we’re supposed to believe she’s the mysterious MDC?"
Lila blinked innocently. “What a bold accusation,” she sighed dramatically. “I designed this dress. I created it from scratch. Every rose, every stitch, every detail, it’s all my work.” She turned slightly, letting the cameras capture her in full. “I thought you’d be happy for me, Marinette! I mean, I did let you help me in the past with minor details, but if I knew you’d react like this…”
A few reporters hesitated. “So… are you saying Marinette was just an assistant?”
“Oh, I wouldn’t say assistant,” Lila hummed, as if choosing her words carefully. “More like… a friend who liked to give input. I value feedback from those who look up to me, after all.”
Some reporters nodded.
It made sense.
Why would a random baker’s daughter be Paris’s most sought-after designer?
Lila could see it—their doubt, their dismissal.
Marinette was losing.
She was actually going to get away with this.
Until Felix stepped forward. He scoffed beside Marinette. “You must be delusional if you think anyone here actually believes you.”
“Oh, Felix, I know you and Marinette are close,” Lila said sweetly, tilting her head, a subtle nudge at their dating rumors. “But I really think you should take a step back and consider who’s actually telling the truth here.”
Some of the reporters glanced between them, uncertain.
One reporter, who had looked into Marinette’s twitter page–filled with her own designs–since her dating rumor with Felix had begun to circulate, spoke up. “I’ve seen an emblem on Marinette’s previous designs and its quite similar to MDC's” one of them pointed out.
“And I designed it,” Lila countered effortlessly. “I needed a recognizable signature, something that would help solidify my brand. Marinette simply liked it so much that she started using it on her personal projects.”
“That’s not true!” Marinette snapped.
Lila let out a soft, patronizing sigh. “Oh, Marinette,” she murmured, shaking her head. “I know it must be hard to accept, but the truth always comes out eventually.”
Marinette inhaled sharply.
She wasn’t going to let Lila win. Not this time.
With a steady hand, she reached up and unfastened the intricate brooch holding her headpiece in place. The MDC emblem gleamed under the lights, catching everyone’s attention.
“If what you’re saying is true, then this dress I’m wearing–this brooch is your design right?” Marinette asked, voice loud and clear.
Lila nodded, her smirk unwavering. “That’s right. And it is one of my best works if I do say so myself. Shame you had to steal it”
Marinette ignored her words, turning the emblem over in her hand, revealing a small engraving on the back. It was subtle, barely visible unless you were looking for it. But it was there.
“The engravings on MDC originals contain the creator’s signature and date of completion and name” Marinette explained. She handed it to one of the event officials. “If this was your work, your name should be on this emblem.”
Lila’s smile twitched.
Marinette crossed her arms. “Go on, then. Read it aloud.”
The official studied the engraving, his expression shifting before he finally announced, “The name here is Marinette Dupain-Cheng.”
A wave of murmurs crashed through the room.
Marinette took a step closer to Lila, a smirk on her lips. “Care to explain that, MDC?”
Lila’s face paled but Marinette wasn’t done.
She then turned to an event official. "Could I borrow a pair of scissors?"
The request was odd enough to make the woman hesitate, but under the weight of the crowd’s curiosity, she complied, handing over a sleek silver pair.
Marinette turned back to Lila, gaze unwavering.
"If this dress is yours," she said, "then you should know how it’s made."
Lila faltered. "W-What do you mean?"
Marinette knelt and, with one precise cut, sliced through a nearly invisible seam along the hem. The fabric peeled back slightly, revealing a carefully stitched hidden lining.
The reporters gasped.
Marinette reached inside and pulled out a tiny, embroidered tag—stitched into the deepest layer of the dress.
It read Property of Marinette Dupain Cheng
Gasps turned into shouts.
"That’s the real MDC’s mark!"
"This is custom work! No one but the designer would know about it!"
Lila’s face was drained of color.
Marinette held the tag up for everyone to see. "I always stitch my name into my originals," she said. "Because I am MDC."
The reporters immediately turned on Lila like a pack of wolves.
“You said you designed the emblem! Why is Marinette’s name on it?”
“If you really are MDC, why haven’t you produced any previous proof of your work?”
“Why do you have no past sketches, no workshop, no history of design?”
The questions hit her from every direction. Lila’s eyes darted between them, her mind racing for an escape.
“I—That must be a misprint,” she stammered. "This—this girl is crazy! She planted that tag! I’ve never seen it before in my life!"
But no one was listening.
The reporters weren’t buying it.
“But you said earlier that Marinette only gave feedback.”
“Why would her name be on a finalized design if you made it?”
Lila’s jaw clenched. She looked to Felix for support, but the cold smirk he gave her made her stomach churn.
“I-I don’t need to prove myself to anyone,” she finally said, trying to sound dignified. “Believe what you want. The real professionals know the truth.”
Felix let out a soft chuckle. “Oh, really? Then why don’t we let Aubrey Bourgeois comment?”
Lila froze.
The crowd turned as the famed Style Queen, Aubrey Bourgeois herself stepped forward.
Aubrey’s icy gaze settled on Lila, her expression unreadable. “I’ve worked with MDC for months now,” she said coolly. “And I can happily confirm that MDC is, and has always been, Marinette Dupain-Cheng.”
"I don’t know who this girl is," she added with crisp indifference. "But I do know she has nothing to do with MDC."
The final nail in the coffin.
The crowd exploded.
Cameras flashed, reporters swarmed Marinette, and Lila—Lila ran.
Or at least, she tried.
Because Felix? Felix stuck out his foot.
Lila tripped.
She hit the floor hard, the flowery gown pooling around her like a fallen curtain. The cameras didn’t miss a second.
Click. Click. Click.
“What else have you lied about?”
Lila’s breath hitched. “I—I didn’t—”
Felix smirked. “I think that’s your cue to leave, Rossi.”
Lila’s entire face burned as whispers and murmurs turned into outright mockery. She had no allies in the crowd. No one willing to help.
Her humiliation was absolute.
With no other choice, Lila got up off the ground and ran.
The reporters didn’t follow her. They didn’t need to. The story had already been written.
As Lila scrambled away, Felix tucked his hands into his pockets and sighed. “And here I thought thieves were supposed to be good at making quick escapes.”
Marinette exhaled slowly, feeling the weight of everything settle. But as she turned to Felix, his steady presence anchoring her, she felt lighter.
She had won.
And for the first time in a long time, she knew she was unstoppable.

Everyone is aged up to 19/20 and is in their last year of high school (Doesn't make sense but lets use wattpad logic please <3). The group met at a little market street nearby the school. Marinette had received directions from Luka earlier and took a very scenic route, attempting to get even more used to the navigation of the town.
She turned a corner only to spot her friends, one blonde and one with streaks of blue. Rushing over, she pulled the overly affectionate blonde into a hug from behind. If she hadn’t done it he most definitely would've done so himself.
One thing she had learned about Adrien was that he was a fiend for physical affection. She hadn't noticed how he tensed up immediately, or how Luka seemed to force himself not to laugh.
"It would be most appreciated if you would let go of me Ms. Marinette"
That was not Adrien's voice. Marinette immediately detached herself from the person, waiting for them to turn. As both the man and Luka turned to properly face her, she could tell it wasn't Adrien.
Adrien had soft and sweet features, seemingly giving back into the world every moment of his life. This man, though eerily similar to the friendly blonde, was not the same. He looked so incredibly over with life, if his stiff posture and stoic face was anything to go off of.
"I am so so so so so so so so so so sorry-" Marinette began to ramble, her eyes comically wide as she realised she must have just made the worst first impression on Adrien's cousin. Felix.
Luka turned away from the two, unable to hold in his laughter anymore. Marinette stopped her incredibly apologetic sentiments to glare at the blue haired person. It wasn't her fault. Both men had their backs turned towards her, she had only known it was them for sure because Luka had bright teal streaks through his hair that were easily identifiable.
"What are you laughing for," she scoffed, punching the man in the shoulder. He said nothing, still letting out amused chuckles, but led them towards the trinket store.
"Adrien said he'd meet us there," Luka informed the two.
"Probably trying to steal all the good looking charms before we even get the chance to see them," Felix scoffed.
Marinette peered up at him in slight surprise and curiosity. She knew Luka and Adrien were major fans of the "Ladybug" singer but hadn't assumed the very cold-natured Felix would be interested in her as well.
As she was trying to figure him out in her head, the boy looked down towards her. His eyes narrowed in confusion and suspicion, causing her to immediately look away.
"Here we are," Luka motioned to the quaint little store, stuffed between a pretty toy shop and cafe. Marinette had seen this store before.
"Isn't this the Librairie Désir?" she asked curiously as the blue-nette held the door open for her and Felix.
"Yea, but the owner is secretly a die hard Ladybug fan and has a whole collection of almost every single charm she's released since her debut 2 years ago." Marinette's eyes widened at the context. That must have been some determination.
Felix and Luka waved to the woman working the cash register, she smiled sweetly at them, already gesturing to the open door at the back of the store. Marinette followed the two boys into what seemed like the basement.
There, Adrien sat, criss-cross, in the center of a carpet covered in what must have been thousands of charms. The blonde perked up as he heard the foot steps approaching, "I was starting to wonder if you guys got lost," he grinned before hopping up to greet Marinette with a hug.
As the four of them got comfortable, Marinette began to look over the vast collection of charms, wondering which one to use as the main piece.
"I've been waiting for her to release another cat charm for months now," Felix mumbled as he fiddled with a butterfly pin. It seemed to be a monarch with golden accents.
"Do you all have like, signature charms or something?" Marinette asked, clasping the little golden rods together to form the basis of her charm bracelet. She had noticed their user names on twitter all included some specific animal. They also had said animal in their bios.
"Yep," Adrien nodded, snatching a bead out of Luka's grasp and quickly fastening it onto his key-chain. "Luka's a snake and Felix and I are cats."
"Unfortunately there's only been a single official cat charm released and I would rather not be matching with Adrien," Felix dead-panned, though his voice did have a bit of a pout to it.
Marinette laughed, "Chloe must be a bee then? It's on her account." Luka nodded in confirmation.
"You should see her collection. Major respect." It was true, Chloe had an entire room dedicated to every piece of Bee-merchandise ladybug had ever produced.
As Marinette looked over the piles of pins, charms and beads, she felt a nudge to her side. Glancing over, she was met with Felix's outstretched palm. Within it was a white and gold bunny charm.
Marinette blinked, then took it from his hand. “Thanks,” she smiled, not expecting the assistance. Felix simply nodded, already turning away.
Marinette had seemingly been adopted by her two not-so-new online friends. Luka, her mischief buddy from back in kindergarten and his extremely energetic, and apparently quite famous, model friend.
When she had initially met Luka for a tour, she had expected him to be just as sporadic as he seemed online, which scared her a bit as she was quite introverted. Fortunately for her, he was a lot more calm in person. It truly was Adrien she had to worry about.
The three had spent the weekend together, the boys showing her around the huge school of Francis Dupont and some interesting places in Paris. Which brings us to her first day. Marinette was late.
Low chatter filled the classroom of students. Many of them separated into their own groups. Adrien sat in front of Luka, turned to face his desk as they both quietly fan-boyed over concept photos of one of their favourite artists.
The talking came to a halt as the door opened loudly. It was Marinette. She wore a simple black top and beige skirt. Her tote bag was slung around her shoulder and one of her hair ribbons had fallen out of place.
She peered at the gawking students, awkwardly nodding her head in greeting before moving to the unoccupied desk beside Adrien. The blonde boy shot her looks of pity, though he was most definitely laughing on the inside.
The class started up again. “Good morning to you too,” the girl grumbled as she stuffed her notes into the desk, placing the bag on the side of the chair.
Adrien let out a quiet laugh before helping her with her stuff. Luka looked at him in confusion but the blonde simply shook his head, allowing Marinette to get comfortable. “So,” he started, “did our tour help you out?”
Marinette, who had decided to let her hair down (she couldn’t find the other hair tie and gave up), nodded. “It was really easy to find this place. You guys are useful after all” she teased.
Adrien, ever the dramatic, gasped, clutching an arm over his heart. “Now look what you did Marinette,” Luka chuckled as the blonde boy let out fake sounds of hurt. “You hurt his feelings.”
Marinette laughed. She was so grateful she had befriended these two, as dramatic as they seemed. The class quieted down once more as the bell rang and the doors slid open smoothly. It seemed to be their teacher.
Marinette stayed quiet, unsure of what to say as the class greeted the woman.
“Good Morning students,” Mme. Bustier greeted the class in return. Her eyes scanned over the room before landing on the ravenette. “It seems as though we have a new student! Would you like to come up and introduce yourself?”
Marinette felt her cheeks warm up as all the attention in the room fell to her. She glanced at Luka and Adrien, both boys shooting her looks of encouragement, before getting up and standing next to the teachers desk at the front of the class.
“Hello. My name is Marinette Dupain-Cheng.” She paused, unsure of what else to say. “Umm… I like designing clothes?” She offered the quiet class.
Hands shot up immediately, everyone wanting to grab information from the new girl. “Where was your last school?” a hyperactive blonde spoke.
“I’ve been homeschooled almost all my life,” she answered.
“Do you play sports?”
“I dance”
“Who’s your favourite musician?”
“Don’t really have one,” she shrugged.
A blonde girl with perfectly manicured nails raised her hand to ask a question. Though she hadn’t spoken yet, Marinette could tell she held significant power over the class as they immediately quieted down. “Where did you get that skirt?”
“Made it myself,” Marinette answered nervously. She was usually so proud of her work, but this girl in the extremely gorgeous yellow jacket seemed to be staring into her soul.
“It's cute,” she nodded dismissively before refocusing on her work. Marinette nodded and answered a few more questions before sitting down. The teacher began discussing the lesson for the day and the ravenette let out a deep breath she hadn’t realized she was holding.
“Well that was…” Adrien started only to get interrupted by Luka’s muffled laughter.
“I don’t know why you're laughing, Luka crayon-muncher Couffaine” she jabbed. The boy was gobsmacked and too stunned to speak. As Adrien attempted to hide his laughter from the teacher, Marinette had a feeling she would fit right into the class.
