There are, but not everywhere. Here in Finland we practically do not have rabies at all and even drop vaccine-filled pellets into the wilderness near Russian border to make sure the disease doesn't spread here.

As you can see from this map, rabies isn't really a thing in big parts of the world.

Hi so what's the deal with your pokemon gen 2 art like why is some of it tagged as silver/gold and some as "ocs" or "fire escape". Like I don't mean to be rude but those ocs do look suspiciously like the gen 2 characters

Fire escape is what ive titled my personal kinda re-write project for the GSC plot! Its still a pokemon story largely inspired by some stuff from the manga, and the similarity between casts was always meant to be 100% transparent. apologies if it was misleading! 

The only art I have tagged as silver+gold I actually drew ages ago before i started writing my own thing, they aligned way closer to the actual characters at the time i drew them, and so i felt fine tagging them as such. I understand the confusion though! 

I've actually been waffling back and forth on how to approach tags since this certainly falls into the gray area of “taking a 2-dimensional character from a thing I like and turning it into my own with obvious inspiration”.

With the intention of how tags are used, I decided to go against tagging them as ‘gold, silver, crystal’ ect, since what I have in mind for this story most certainly will diverge enough from ‘canon’ I feel like it’d eventually be MORE confusing if i continued to tag the characters as their offical counterparts. (Especially since they have different names and everything, lmao).

I mostly feel a little guilty using a tag for self-indulgent stuff that feels so far removed from the traditional narrative, it's easier to just post them on their own, yknow? In that sense, yeah, i consider what i’ve done with the characters and story just me doing my own thing- with some obvious springboards that i’m not trying to be deceptive about. I really dont mind whatever people tag them as when reblogging them or anything though tbh. This is just for my own fun anyway!

Oh yes the bloodbending connection does make a lot of sense with the bandit tribe! Also, does Qrow know any healing magic himself , or is that reserved for Jaune? And did you thought about other characters too? For instance, if Atlas is Earth Kingdom does that mean Weiss and Winter are earthbenders too? I mean technically they use all the elements in the show with their dust but it feels really wierd to think of them as anything as water(ice) benders

Qrow doesn’t know any healing but I might have an idea regarding that so 👀As for Jaune, yes, definitely a healer, though I also imagine he’s not that good with regular waterbending and usually prefers to use a sword. I have some initial ideas for the other characters too (eg Blake and Weiss are waterbenders, Ozpin/Oscar is the avatar, etc), but honestly, nothing’s set in stone yet. Though I totally agree with you that it’d be weird for Weiss and Winter to be anything other than waterbenders. I figured that the world this AU is set in is a lot more international than ATLA is, where people form different nations all live together (like Republic City in LOK).
