Be the change you'd like to see, although it was less about Sheriff Trailblazer's leadership and more that Maretime Bay needed a dedicated investigator.
She didn't let the fact that she's the Heiress Apparent to an entire city-state to prevent her from getting out into the world and working a real day job with ponies who were different from her.
Say what you will about Twilight Sparkle's message, at least Zipp had the presence of mind to record at least some of it for further analysis.
The Unity Crystals and Twilight's warning presented ponydom with a somewhat ominous enigma.
And during most of Make Your Mark, Zipp Storm was the only one who really stayed curious and kept working on the matter.
Every pony else either seemed to forgot about it or became distracted.
Anytime something untoward presented itself, Zipp Storm was always the first to take notice and keep her eye on it, even when every pony else told her to ignore it and relax.
Zipp Storm was the only pony who really tried to understand all of Misty Brightdawn's odd behavior patterns.
It is for these reasons, among others, that Zipp Storm will always be my First Gen 5 pony!
