I chose her because I thought her hair would be fun and I was right I had a blast with all those colors n curls ^^

Updated Satin’s design and bio! More under the cut!

Decided to revamp Satin since her I've developed her character way more since I first drew her (content pending lol). I'm also mostly retconning her backstory bc it was rushed and I had just got into designing next gens so I was just throwing stuff together with reckless abandon lmao. Name: Satin Star Parents: Starlight Glimmer and Trixie Lulamoon Talent: Problem solving and Truth Seeking Pronouns: She/her Character Tidbits: Satin grew up in Ponyville with her mothers, as they both worked at the School of Friendship. She is close to both her moms but has a special bond with Trixie, who sewed her cloak for her (it's made from a soft, heavy fabric that helps ease some of her anxiety). Satin was fascinated by Trixie's tools of the trade such as her trick cards, smoke bombs, and never-ending handkerchiefs. It was these initial interests that led her down the path of mechanics. She loves figuring out what makes things tick from a little wind up toy to the mechanisms of the known universe. She's a researcher by trade, expanding knowledge on whatever topic she's currently obsessed with. She is mostly interested in magic, mechanical engineering, celestial mechanics, and 3D geometry. She is also a major puzzle enthusiast with a particular interest in 3D brain teasers and puzzles. She always has an array of puzzles and fidget toys in her bag to mess with whenever there's a quiet moment. Having something to fiddle with often helps ease her anxiety and focus her thoughts while she thinks. Satin also has ADHD, which most often manifests in "zoning out", anxiety, hyperfixations, emotional dysregulation, and a sleep schedule a raccoon would cringe at. She is often the most awake in the wee hours of the morning when she likes to work on her puzzles, do research, and read books. It is also not uncommon during this time for Satin to be visited by Whimsy, her best friend since childhood. Whimsy often wakes up in the middle of the night from her dreams and sneaks out to Satin's room to feel better. Satin helps Whimsy understand their dreams by treating them like puzzles, figuring them out with the help of Whimsy's cards. As well as talk through it and process some of the emotions tied to the dream itself. They often keep talking until Whimsy is sleepy enough to slip back out and return to her house and for Satin to crash into her bed just as the sun is about to rise. 

So that's Satin! Her and Whimsy are my fave characters to think about right now I love them a whole lot <3

Personality: Topaz's early years were spent in Canterlot, Equestria although he himself didn't experience that much bullying he witnessed firsthand the struggles and the tortures of his beloved sister Irie. To watch his creative, loving sister breakdown in front of him left a sour impression of ponies alike, especially unicorns. Currently residing in Ponyville Topaz struggles to make friends due to his distrust of ponies in general and his negative outlook on the world.

This fluffball is the child of Sunburst and Stygian, which might sound really weird if you haven't read the MLP comics lmao (specifically the Legends of Magic series go read it it's great). Before I read it I was pretty ehhhh about Stygian but after I was like oh shit???? Stygian is interesting?? and I hate Starswirl so much more now? Man the show did his character so dirty, his relationship with the pillars and the subsequent fallout with Starswirl adds so much context to the history of Equestria like damn dude it's real food for thought. But anyway! The comic gave a really good premise for a relationship between Sunburst and Stygian, I like to think after the comic ended they became friends and eventually partners. Both nerding out about old antiques (Stygian being able to help identify old items and give more history), going on beach dates where Stygian could teach Sunburst all about shells and marine life, and chilling and reading together in the library. And eventually Sunshower comes along! Sunburst wanting to uphold the tradition of the "sun" prefix that run's through his family, and Stygian offering a name similar in meaning to his. Sunshower grew up in the Crystal Empire and was homeschooled by her fathers, both of whom she is incredibly close. She has an appetite for knowledge like her parents but in much more interested in people than books. Fascinated by social cues, relationships, and emotions, she loves people watching and hearing all about the intricate lives of others. Personality wise she's a quiet observer, loving to listen more than talk. Oftentimes speaking out of nowhere with surprising or thoughtful insights. Only really becoming chatty when talking about something she's deeply invested in. As an adult she becomes a talk therapist and deeply enjoys helping others by helping them untangle their emotions and process their feelings. Her talent being helping others see the "sun through the shade"

Heres Nymph and a continuation of the "Pink Grub" AU i've been postin about but really its just my next gen universe at this point lmao

Nymph is the ginormous spiky daughter of Luna and Chrysalis. born after Luna retired from the throne and Chrysalis was released from stone and made amends with her hive but ultimately left Thorax in charge, recognizing her mistakes as a leader.

After becoming partners Luna and Chrysalis built an isolated castle in the woods between Canterlot and the changeling hive, where they live in peace from the prying eyes of the public with Nymph and adopted daughter Cozy Glow. Nymph grows up roaming the expansive woods with her favorite sister Cozy, and frequently visiting the changeling hive, where she's doted on endlessly by the changelings.

Nymph rarely saw pony society until she was a young adult, attending important events where Luna's presence was called for. It was at this point she became aware of the disparity in treatment between her family and her aunt Celestia's.

Celestia had married Queen Novo, a union met with praise as the return of the return of the Hippogriffs was celebrated, and had a beautiful daughter named Radiance. Nymph on the other hand was the daughter of Luna, formerly Nightmare Moon, and Chrysalis, the leader of the "evil" changelings, and sister to Cozy Glow, the protege of Tirek.

Because this Nymph ultimately became a people pleaser, needing to prove people wrong at every turn, that she wasn't going to make her parent's mistakes, and that her family didn't need to feared or talked about in whispers.

She especially becomes self conscious of her appearance and magic. Nymph is big, covered in spines, and has inherited powerful magic from her mothers that she is terrified to use in front of others, afraid to even lift things with a simple levitation spell. She has an affinity for water and storms, being able to use her magic to wield the elements, along with being able to shapeshift like other changelings. When upset she will often decompress by shifting into aquatic creatures and hang out at the bottom of lakes (only cozy knows when Nymph is missing to check the nearest body of water).

Woah-oh Looks who's come to town? 

Amethyst Core was the apple in Fluttershy's and Treehugger's eyes. Her hobbies included attention, affection and more attention aallllll to herself.  Then out of freakin noooo where some skinny shmuck comes out of the woodworks and starts taking allll the attention away from her! Who is this pony? Why did her parents bring her here? And gosh darn why does all of ponyville think shes sooo pretty!? 😡

Lol, little backstory here Fluttershy and Treehugger (being the little loving and hippie couple they were) had always wanted to adopt a pony into their family and thats how Mari Joanne (thats her name btw) came into the picture. And in their happy state they may have forgot to *ahem properly introduce Amethyst to the idea of having a new sister. When Mari arrived Amethyst proceeded to sulk and whine (and maybe growl) at her new baby sis who was getting the attention away from her. 

And it allllso doesn't help that half of ponyville thinks she's soooo pretty and looks ExAcTlY like Fluttershy! 😠

This is kinda random but I thought I'd show my thoughtprocess featuring Amethyst Core colors I'm trying to make her as purple as possible (to match her name) but still looking like her parents. What do you guys think?

Alright! Two post in one day!!

Voila! The reason for Applejack's predicament! You can imagine both Applejacks and Cherilee's surprise when the two earth pony mothers found out they were having a UNICORN for a daughter! (Cheerilee comes from a long displaced line of unicorns). Don't get her wrong Apple Jack looooves her daughter to apple bits, but she doesn't have the first cluuue on how to raise a unicorn and teach her magic at. all. And Cherilee never bothered to ask her unicorn family members for any advice so... shes stumped as well

And lets just say the thing about unicorn colts is that their magic is clooosely linked to their emotions and the more they repress their magic the more ....flamboyant it becomes. HonesTea for example had just been throwing a mild tantrum before a bolt of blue shot out of her rendering her surprised.

And with recent events becoming more chaotic Applejack has no other choice but to "Twiiilight!"
