Continuing my rewatch of season three and just reached 'Ladybug', and despite it not being anywhere close to being the main focus of the episode, I still absolutely love how Chloé was showing how heroic she was slowly becoming here.
I mean, seriously, just look at her! She steps in front of Sabrina to shield her from being akumatized, and the best part? I’m pretty sure Chloé doesn’t even realize Sabrina isn’t actually scared here, which makes the gesture feel completely instinctual on her part. Also, not to get sidetracked but love Sabrina here! That is a 'I dare you to try' face if I ever saw one.
Getting back on track, this is like the second time Chloe did something like this too which makes this even better. For those that need a reminder, during 'Startrain' Chloé upon learning that an akuma got on board her traincar immediately entered hero mode and led the evacuation of the car and even closed the door behind herself after everyone else was safely out before her. Both this and 'Ladybug' Really showed that despite the slow progress she was making, she was making a genuine effort to become a hero, and by extension a better person.
