"Donnie? Is something wrong?"

Donnie did not hear Miss Flack approaching him, and jumped a little at her voice, “Ah, I’m sorry, I was lost in thought” he straightened his bowtie, and regained a calmer composure.

“I just have a few things on my mind I suppose,” he answered with a sigh.

"Donnie... do irises mean anything special?"

“Mean... anything special?” It took him a moment or two to figure out what she meant, before it clicked in his head, “Ah, you mean like symbolism? They do have a special meaning.” He nodded, thinking it over a bit.

“They have several meanings actually, but main ones that stick out are, Courage, hope and wisdom. In a dream book I once read from Sandman’s study, to see an iris flower in a dream is sign of good news coming your way.”

He smiled and cocked his head at her, “Why do you ask, Songbird?”

He leans in and gives her a soft, long kiss on the cheek. He blushes at how soft her skin against his lips and smiles, “More where that came from, if you’d like.”
