Just a quick size comparison pic for posterity
I'm not big on like, holding up an animation scale chart and comparing it to the figures, but I do have my own vague ideal scale for certain characters. For me the ideal Optimus height would be right between ss86 Prime and MMC Tyrantron/Megatron, I like him shorter than megs but not by too much. Obviously ss86 Prime isn't an aesthetic match at all for these versions of Megs, T30 Springer and CW Ultra Magnus, but I know that there's someone out there like me who, when a new figure comes out, spends fruitless time scrolling google with variations on "x figure and y figure comparison" so for my fellow dorks, heres some assorted older idw style figures that are less likely to get side by sides these days
