being alive is such a profound act of narcissism. we are constantly entrenched in our own thoughts, our own perspectives. self takes precedence over man, even if not to exclusion, and for all we as a larger society demonize self-centeredness, this is the only way we must be if we are to truly analyze ourselves with the intention of changing and subsequently presenting our best selves to the world. feels a little bit... paradoxical, doesn't it.
