Hey guys! This week's #mmuweeklychallenge is "Favorite Make" and this challenge was super hard to choose but I ended up with this beanie. This Pikachu beanie that I made for my little brothers almost 10 years ago (3 of them lol) I would say this is my favorite because I was just starting out learning how to crochet and this was the first hat i made with no pattern. I googled a picture of a hat that looked like this and just made it work lol. It's not perfect but I'm super proud of figuring it out using the knowledge I had learned from other hats. Almost forgot about this lol. This week's #mmuweeklychallenge is All About Me! Okay so! My name is Meagan 😄 I am 27 years old and I've been crocheting for almost 10 years (I feel old) lol I've been very crafty all my life, went to school for writing and music, picked up on crochet, got sick and had to come back home, and then started working in a big technical corporation that is so far from the art school degree I was aiming for lol. I love my job though, I still crochet, I picked up knitting, and now I kinda do it all 😁 I love to craft so many different things but right now I just stick to yarn. In 2017 I created Crafty Beasts and I hope to one day have my own cafe where I sell coffee and food and display all the things I love to make! Hey guys! This week's #mmuweeklychallenge is 10 facts about me. Warning, this will probably be a long read lol. 1) I love to read, I also love the smell of books 🤓 2) My first language wasn't English! 😱 What, yeah lol spanish was my first language but I'm not 100% fluent anymore. 3) I taught myself how to play the piano! And continued to learn more when I went to an Art college in Santa Fe New Mexico ☺️. 4) I have a lot of siblings. I grew up with 9 brothers and 2 sisters (a mix of bio and step). We used to have softball games or kick ball games between both sides of the family because we were so large lol. 5) My unofficial last name is Blessing. My mom married my stepdad who's last name is Blessing and she would say that she prayed to God for a Blessing and he gave her my dad lol, cheesy I know but I love it. Now whenever I'm at work and someone recognizes me as my mom's daughter (we work at the same company) they say "Hey you're a Blessing" and I'm like "why yes, yes I am 😁" 😂 6) I love cats so much, even though I'm pretty allergic to them lol 🤷🏼‍♀️ 7) I have a fear of the deep ocean and deep space. 😨 8) I have visited Spain, italy, France, Germany, Jamaica, Cayman Islands, and Mexico. 8) I've swam with dolphins, sting rays, and manatees before. 9) I used to have a horse in oklahoma named Spirit 10) I know some American Sign Language. I picked it up and focused on learning some phrases and finger spelling because I have a co-worker who is deaf and I wanted to make it easier for him to communicate with me. Hey guys! This week's #mmuweeklychallenge is "What am I working on" I am working on the awesome Pumpkin Spice Beanie by the lovely @crazy4crochetmomma her pattern is available on her ravelry and etsy if you'd like to make it too! I used @redheartyarns in Retro Stipes and I loved how the colors worked up. I decided to use loops&threads impeccable yarn in white from @michaelsstores for the pumpkins and I love how it pops between the pastel rainbow. While working on this beanie I was watching a cartoon movie and the villains name is my name! Lol (spelled differently though) and I thought that was hilarious. Haven't decided yet what kind of pom pom to put at the end so we'll see! I modeled the hat myself lol and of course, used snapchat filters because I love snapchat.
