This is Whitney and her amazing behind the scenes look at what makes her work so special and unique. @pretty.pine.tree.crochet My name is Whitney, crochet designer and maker behind Pine Tree Crochet. My love for yarn started when a family friend taught me the basic crochet stitches about 9 years ago, and I challenged myself to learn more! Practice makes perfect, my Mom would always say. I really enjoy creating something, anything, out of a piece of yarn. I started Pine Tree Crochet in June of 2019. I love reading, and now writing beginner to advanced beginner crochet patterns that you can purchase in my Ravelry shop. Got a new one! My first cup (blue) was dropped by the post office so after a claim was filed, I got a replacement and decided to get a pink one! The blue still works fine and the cracks have been sealed and I use it like crazy! I am a Mama of two children aged 21 and 17. After teaching middle school music and chorus for 10 years, we moved to Florida and I changed paths to work part time as a teacher’s assistant of 2 yr olds in a preschool. My favorite paper creations are custom pieces and ornaments. I love where I create a scene or favorites within a letter/initial. I relish the challenge and I also love how it makes something personal and unique for each recipient. As for my ornaments, I create scenes, angels, and crosses that are sturdy enough to keep for years and are perfect for small gifts. I love my new knitting machine! I got the 48 pin sentro and the 40 pin loops and threads. I made two beanies, two ear warmers, and a buffalo plaid Pom Pom!!!! Check out her story below ⤵️⤵️⤵️ Hello I’m Caz! A few years ago I retrained as a holistic therapist in various therapies including aromatherapy and herbalism. I had always loved making “potions” as a child and so aromatherapy really appealed to my inner child! After I qualified I started making my own blends, and I also used a lot of candles at home and decided to have a go at making my own. I love using crystals and dried flowers in my candles, to make each candle unique. I use a lot of containers that are recycled or upcycled for candles, and always reusable. I use plant based products and no chemicals. Everything is cruelty free and kind to the planet. I dream of a fair and happy world full of love, and this is reflected in everything I make. I don’t have an Etsy shop yet although this is coming soon, but please do dm me or place an order or with any enquiries. I would love to hear from you. I pretty much like to say that I sit around cutting paper all day. The fun part for me is getting a custom request. The search for just the right image I can shape and tweak to make the perfect cut file. My photo today is an example of a request I received for a specific rainbow.
