Some photos of our Louis Riel Day adventures, by Marvin! Mitooni miiyaashin! 🌾🌝🍁🌊🔥🌳
Image description: A series of six photos. The first shows me sitting at an outdoor fire in the centre of Fort Langley on an overcast day. There are a few other people sitting at the fire, and I’m looking over my shoulder to smile at the camera. The second is a closer three-quarter shot of my upper torso, face, and my hands as I gesticulate and talk mid-story.
The third and fourth are taken inside a historic wooden building cluttered with people and craft supplies. The third photo is a close up of me, working on sewing a deerskin rattle with sinew on a large needle. The fourth photo is a close shot of Marvin’s face and hands as he concentrates on sewing the same rattle.
The last two photos are group shots of some of the people who attended the celebration and flag raising. Most are Métis and many are wearing sashes. The fifth photo was taken very far back to get the large group in, and a white house and trees are visible in the background. The sixth photo is a closer shot of my section of the group with me in the middle. End image description.
