We are just wrapping up our time in Hawaii and can’t wait to get back home to see Cooper and catch up with everyone (Who else is coming to the #MNstameet on Jan. 11 at Blackstack?)!⁣ ⁣ Yesterday we had a phenomenal experience at @olabrewco (more on them in a future post soon)! Spoiler Alert: They were hands down my favorite Big Island brewery! The people, beer, and ambiance were all perfect! ⁣ ⁣ This month I will be doing a Dry January, meaning I won’t have any alcoholic beverages until February. I’ve always been a bit nervous to take part in Dry January because of the pressure to post on this page, but I feel like that’s just an extra reason to do it. I’m looking forward to this providing a reset at the beginning of 2020! While I won’t be consuming any new beers during January, I’ll still be posting beer/beer related/NA beverages. #Repost @erins_table ・・・ I realized I hadn’t picked up any new beer for myself since before the holidays so I decided that yesterday was a #treatyoself kind of day (comment below if you know the reference 🤣) and I also got a much needed salon treatment at @haussalon (@colorbyashleywood is so amazing!💆🏽‍♀️) . . . I picked up two newer releases: Subtropical IPA and Certified Pre-Owned DDH Oak Milk Double IPA from @blackstackbrewing in honor of our first #mnstameet of 2020! #mnstameet! Had a lot of fun at my second local beer meetup yesterday. Hosted at the @headflyerbrew taproom by the folks from @mnbeercommunity and @craft_notes. The owners gave a tour of their brewhouse and it was one of the more interesting tours I've been on. Instead of talking about the brewing process – I get that part – they spoke about the history of the brewery and the building itself. Did you know their tables in the taproom are made from the old floor of their barrel room? I didn't either. Great group of people and I'm glad we all got an inside look. We also met a lot of new people and talked with many that we'd met previously. I see them on Instagram, but I prefer making the real life connection. Happy that these are consistent, and consistently attended. The next one is November 2nd. It's on my calendar.
