Today I was cleaning my room and stumbled upon two old childrens' books of mine, the kind that have several little stories in them. Feeling nostalgic and wanting to procrastinate my cleaning, I sat down and started to read. Two hours later I had finished both of the books and put them away with a new attitude. All of the stories contained whimsical protagonists with an underlying moral message to be conveyed. Most of the stories were about not giving up, even under seemingly improbable circumstances, and were about how life teems with goodness and prosperity. Rereading all of those stories should have made me cheerful and happy, reminiscing the rest of the day, but the juxtapose happened. I was left feeling grim and miserable. The reality is that life just isn't like that, and sooner or later, we all learn that.

things to accomplish before i'm 25

because everyone loves goals.

1) Graduate from college with degrees in education minors in music/english

2) continue writing songs until i reach that age

3) learn how to play the piano PROPERLY. (i'm too lazy to read notes im a hear it and copy it kind of person)

4) go to at least one concert. (jason mraz, sara bareilles, james morrison, mostly sara bareilles)

5) travel to the mainland and another country.

6) audition for a singing/talent competition. (even though i fear that kind of thing)

7) marry either josh hutcherson or niall james horan

8) perform on a stage or venue that does not include where i'm from

9) meet sara bareilles

-------omg did i just say that out loud? a girl can dream right? haha i had to throw in some comedy somewhere.

i have no clue what else. i'm mainly going for number 6 because i've been refusing to so much but i really want to try it out just this once. before i'm 25 i promise myself i will.
