Mafia Hotch tucking you into bed with your favorite stuffed animal before attending a meeting.
You feel lonely and go to his office thinking that it’s just paper work and then you enter his office with your bear hugged close to your body and so on please!!!
long long long!!!!!
Aaron never broke a promise, never. So when you'd collected him in his office in the middle of a meeting, holding the keep case of Despicable me close to your chest, your eyes widened with the biggest, begging puppy dog eyes Aaron had ever seen, he followed you.
He made you change into your pajamas, or rather one of his old t-shirts and a pair of his boxers, before pressing play, knowing that you'd be tired once it was over, and made it easier on himself to get you to bed.
Your eyes were glued to the screen, your lips quirked in a smile, loving the small yellow pill-shaped beings. Aaron's hand was lazily scratching at the base of your neck, while the other was wrapped protectively around your frame, locking you in place in his lap.
He didn't pay much attention to the movie, not really caring for the cartoon, but he'd promise, and you were happy, which meant that he was happy.
"Time for bed Bunny." He gave your bum a small pat as the credits started rolling. You shifted your attention to him, looking like a wounded animal.
"Nuh-uh." You protested, pressing your head to his shoulder, slowly starting to doze off from the soothing rhythmic motion of Aaron's hand in your hair. With a few small tsk's and a shake of his head, he lifted you into his arms, carrying you bridal style to bed.
Getting you under the covers was easy enough, but getting you to stay under them proved harder. Flipping the sheets away from your body once he started to turn away and leave.
"Bunny!" He warned sternly, half of his face illuminated by the lamp on your nightstand.
"Please, stay." You whined, hoping that your little plea would be enough. Aaron sighed, walking out of the room for a while. He left the door open, signaling that he'd be back. You could hear him search through something on the other side of the hallway.
Upon return, you noticed the large stuffed bear in his arms. Your favorite. He had won it for you on your first date at the carnival. The faux fur-ish type of fabric was soft between your small hands as you let him wrap your arm around it.
Aaron tucked the covers up over your body again.
"Be good. I have some work to do. Then I'll come to bed too, alright?" He smiled at you, pecking the top of your head before he left the room.
You tried, really tried, to fall asleep. Tossing and turning, but nothing worked. Something was missing. Him. You waited for him, 30 minutes went by, then an hour, then two, until you couldn't take it anymore. You felt frustrated because you wanted to be good, wanted him to praise you. Didn't want to disobey him.
Figuring that he was consumed in paperwork, again, your fuzzy sock-covered feet dragged you out of bed and to his office downstairs. Your arms were wrapped around the bear, its little arms spilling over your own, and its legs dangling against your stomach.
Carefully you pushed the door open, sliding your body through the crack before closing it again with a soft click. When you turned around, all eyes were on you, and even though you knew the men, you still felt embarrassed. Aaron's expression softened as he saw the frustration burning behind your glossed-over eyes and the bear hugged tightly to your chest.
"C'mere." He softly said, almost whispering, as he patted his lap for you to sit down in. "Couldn't sleep?" He quirked a brow at you as you nuzzled yourself closer to his chest. His arms wrapped around your body, one hand placed on your bum, while the other rested in the soft fur of the bear.
"I was lonely. You were gone too long." You mumbled, your voice muffled by his chest.
"I know sweetheart. I know. C'mon now, you can sleep here." He murmured back at you, gently rocking your bodies synchronously with the beat of his heart.
David Rossi, his most trusted of men, smiled up at the little scene unfolding between the two of you. As you fell asleep, breath evening out and getting heavier, Aaron returned to the meeting, sending them a frowning look that said 'this stays between us' before picking up where he left off.
It was rare for Aaron to show any emotions, any sign of weakness in front of anyone, but you. The small gestures of humanity that his team occasionally got to see were enough to make them stay and endure his hard demeanor, and the tight ship he ran.
