What if saiki is in need of a spoon for his coffee jelly and what do you know ritsu has one?

Way ahead of you, it’s right there in my possible scenario notes! Long story short, Ritsu’s immediate access to an unlimited supply of spoons at all times slightly disturbs Saiki, but is undeniably useful. 

Desperate to eat his coffee jelly in public view, poor damsel in distress Saiki is left staring murderously down at his dessert until shining knight in spoons armor Ritsu appears with enough spoons for even a certain overpopulated idol group. 

Heart eyes, motherfucker.

How would Saiki's first time meeting Reigen go about? XD

Probably not great. 

Like, Reigen is a good person…overall, but he is driven by worldly desires. Desires that never trump Mob’s well-being, but still. The guy spends his work week lying, cheating, and using Mob. Not that Mob doesn’t know or that that isn’t mostly Reigen’s guilty conscience left over from his original motives for taking in Mob, but still. That’s what’s sitting on the surface. 

Saiki honestly doesn’t meet Reigen for a pretty long time, considering how often Mob and the man hang out, but that is probably because, A) Saiki and Mob meet up maybe once or twice a month and B) Saiki hates socializing and generally tries to avoid as many of his own and Mob’s acquaintances as possible. That is until Mob asks Saiki to help out with a job. 

I’m just throwing bullshit into the wind and hoping it floats, but lets say that the Spirits and Such agency is investigating some local rumors on the dime of an older couple that no longer feel safe with so many dangerous things happening at night. Lots of traffic accidents and reports of a monstrous cat called a bakeneko. They’ve asked around and heeard the rumors about ten times over and even camped out one weekend to see if they could catch the ting in action, but no luck. Mob can catch whiffs of the creature around, but the bakeneko is elusive and smart and knows better than to get anywhere near them. 

So after another particularly nasty MVC, Mob contacts Saiki for an extra brain on the case. Saiki is predictably reticent about the whole things and equally as predictably eventually acquiesces to Mob’s quiet disappointment. 

Mob has mentioned Reigen before frequently as an admirable man with a font of good advice, but Saiki’s first impression, meeting at the office after school gets out for the two boys only to see a grown man shmoozing a middle aged lady about some bullshit made up poltergeist, is less than ideal. Reigen in business mode is sketchy as hell and you can bet his thoughts and words don’t meet up. An outgoing conman; Mob’s complete opposite. 

Keeping quiet but openly fuming at the man, Saiki accompanies the two to the neighborhood as the case is further explained to him. Mob quietly suggests that he might ask the local animals, and, looking incredibly put out, Saiki does so, prickling at the open stare and mild disbelief of Reigen. Eventually a bunch of uppity cats who consider the bakeneko the new king of the neighborhood are coaxed into waxing poetic about the morbid feline, and the chase is on. 

Saiki and Mob split up to try to corner the monster, not only because of it’s wiles, but because Saiki is considerably faster than the other two. This leads to an unfortunate outcome of Saiki being rather removed, checking one of the beast’s fishing spots, when the bakeneko attacks Mob and Reigen. Saiki panics and hurries to the spot, only to see Reigen attempting to shield a (temporarily) mildly outmatched Mob. Of course all he’s really doing is changing where the center of Mob’s psychic shield must be placed, but the thought is there.

With Mob overcoming his temporary surprise and Saiki on the scene, the two make quick work of the bakeneko and Reigen happily treats the two to some dinner. Saiki, mollified by Reigen’s actions and dessert, silently edits his previous opinion.

Later on, as Saiki sees and hears more of Reigen’s efforts in Mob’s life, the opinion further elevates from “tolerated” to “fellow Mob protection squad.”

For the Saiki and Mob crossover, what would Saiki's aura be like?

Oh, I kinda described it in that like first post I made about it! Although that was his aura with the inhibitors. Basically it still balloons out from him but is almost null at the point where his inhibitors jack in. Kinda like those pictures of magnetic pull (sorta). Like, the aura is a pool of water exuding out from Saiki and almost being sucked into the limiters. It’s color is an intense blue with swirls of green that sort of hurts to look at after a while, like when you stare at the sky for too long. Depending on the sensitivity of the esper, Saiki’s aura can be felt from rather far away, relatively.

Without the limiters it would be like suddenly being submerged in water. It’s not something that hurts others, but it can damper or enhance psychic skills, depending on the esper’s compatibility with Saiki’s energy (as well as Saiki’s mood, let’s be honest).

Wouldn't it be funny if Tsubomi and Teruhashi were, like, cousins or something

The Teruhashis are all beautiful super humans. But I do get the feeling that while Tsubomi is popular, she isn’t Teruhashi level gorgeous. Mob vision just apparently converts girls he doesn’t know into vegetables? Maybe because he gets pretty frazzled talking to them? That’s pretty cute to be honest. 

On an even more unrelated note, I wonder how drop dead gorgeous the Teruhashi siblings’ parents are…

oh no you are great! You gave me a silly idea of what would happen if Retsu and Mob ran into Saiki's mom while they were out and saw both her sides. Like they end up in a situation where Saiki's mom is seemingly getting taken advantage of and Saiki's doesn't "seem" to be helping her until the person makes the mistake of trying to do something to saiki and then they see WHY saiki isn't helping her. Also the thought of her being completely unfazed by psychic kids and her being sweet to them.

Yeah I could totally picture that. Actually I could picture the psychics’ moms getting together as their own support group. They deal with it so well, so I imagine that it is a lot of good-natured gossiping about their boys more than anything. 

I can’t quite imagine what sort of street scam would be going on that would involve both Saikis or why Ritsu and Mob would see it, but I can totally picture Ricchan getting ready to strangle the guy bothering the once completely suspicious and now totally cool Saiki, and Mob just reaches a hand out and pushes Ritsu’s back down as he catches Kusuo’s eye. 

The three have very different perspectives on the situation. Ritsu sees this as a situation similar to Shigeo’s weekly encounters with bullies, where Saiki may not wish to raise a fuss but needs help nonetheless. Mob sees this as a situation well in hand that has no need for the use of any of their powers and that can easily be resolved through discussion. Kusuo sees this as a situation in which he may be called on to use his powers, but feels confident that his Mom with protect them if need be (with the help of a little forced telepathy). 

This third option is indeed what happens as the Kageyama siblings watch from afar, Mob looking a little distressed and Ritsu looking like Christmas came early. Kusuo eventually pries his own mom off of the poor offender and gathers their bags. He takes an inordinately large amount of time debating the pros and cons of introducing the siblings to his mother, but hey, his mom is perfect and the kids could always use a little more support, plus it’s not like it will do any harm to his ability to stay hidden (unfortunately for Kusuo it does increase the frequency with which his mother gushes about his little friends). 

She ends up taking the kids to lunch and talking with them (read: sobbing over her son’s sweet new friends. They are so good, so pure). Mob and Saiki have a telepathic debate over introducing their families to eachother, Mob being for, Saiki against. Saiki argues that his parents are bad enough together, they will be insufferable if they find another psychic-parenting couple to gush about their kids with. Mob argues that someone set his house on fire, once, and wouldn’t it be nice for the adults to have some support for situations like those if they ended up more serious? Saiki counters with the fact that he can instantly restore objects to their original state, but Mob just sweats endearingly in his direction as a counter argument and Saiki, absolute shit at saying no to people, acquiesces.

This sets off an increase in weekend hangouts and playing really shitty old games with Saiki while their parents hold dinner parties downstairs together.

Despite Saiki’s best attempts to keep his monthly check-ups/hang outs/bitch-fests with Shigeo a secret, and despite the younger boy’s best attempts to acquiesce to the surly high schooler’s need for privacy, the two boys were interrupted their 4th month into the arrangement, halfway through snack-time at a local cafe in Spice City, by a surly middle schooler attempting to loom over the two. 

Cluing in to the recognition on Shigeo’s face, and, more tellingly, the harried ‘Nii-san’ that scuttled across Saiki’s mind space, Saiki determined that this was the time for introductions and not for making a swift exit via teleport. Shigeo had warned him regarding the alarming number of ESPers in Spice City who were anything but friendly, but, honestly, Saiki didn’t need Mob’s ability to see psychic auras to know that he could easily take this kid down if his assumption turned out wrong. 

More stuff for the Mob Psycho 100/Saiki Kusuo crossover I’ve been thinking about. Since I’m out a tablet atm this is mixed media, for once. It’s been a while.
