"No okay this is serious, you texted me 'LOL' and I don't fucking know what that means!"— @dollhidden Cate!!
He pauses briefly, eyes going back and forth between his phone and the girl. Was she actually being serious about this? Or could it be some type of... joke? He waits for a cue, for a sign that she is joking around for a good laugh as they were used to doing... But nothing comes out of it.
"Cate, are you kidding me?" He asks, genuine confusion written across his face, especially with the way he briefly furrows his brows. "You mean it?"
Of course, she means it. And yet, he is still baffled. He chuckles a bit, unable to find the right words to say, at first. Something about this felt odd, though it was still cute. Come to think of it, 'LOL' itself was a weird abbreviation, anyway. But how did she not know about it?
"Christ Almighty, what are you gonna do the moment I text you LMFAO, then?" Jean places over a hand on her shoulder, a small smile present as he decides to sit right by her. "Okay, uh... First of all, it's not 'LOL', but L-O-L. I guess some people say it as is anyway. The point is! That it means 'laugh out loud', you know? Like you said something funny, so I am laughing out loud. In summary, you're fucking funny, Cate, you made me laugh."
Also, sorry for disappearing. Have been Crising the Core these past few days. But I hope to slowly but surely get back in the groove and answer everything I owe. Thank you all for the patience!
