I fucking love mobilism... *me freaking out running down the laberinthine space station* I CAN'T FIND A .MOBI OF DAVID HARVEY'S A BRIEF HISTORY OF NEOLIBERALISM!!11 *mobilism smiling like he's got 9* right here baby :d.
I love it...
FYI folks if you like digital books and THEFT just search at that website and you can find anything, anything, you can find anything and you can steal it and get it in your kindle or ibooks and if it comes in a format you can’t use for your preferred ereader just use calibre to convert the file or even edit whole books yourself if you want it’s great you’re welcome.
What are some good sites for free ebooks?
Mobilism seems to have taken down a lot of its choices (all the popular books and such), so now i'm looking for another site to frequent for ebooks. I've been on a binge ever since I got my Kindle.
Any suggestions? :)

Mobilism Market Review
Mobilism Market Review
By Android Core
http://www.facebook.com/androidcore611
Mobilism Market is a huge, community powered, Alternative Market for Android OS, Iphone iOS, Blackberry OS, Windows OS, Palm WebOS, and Nokia Symbian OS since 2006 which contains thousands upon thousands of apps, games, movies, and books. Unfortunately, there are no MP3 music yet. And I restate… YET! Mobilism is constantly updating. It’s only a matter a time before they host music as well. In the meantime, there are TONS and LOADS of free MP3 Music Download apps, also on Mobilism!!!
First, please note that Mobilism does not host these files. Right now you are scratching your head and thinking, ‘Loads of apps on all Mobile OS devices, but no hosting?’ That’s Correct! So, how does Mobilism do it?
Mobilism's servers searches the internet for your "request" and then downloads the content from top online file hosting companies, like filesonic, 4shared, megaupload, etc. So instead of going to Google, typing in your search method, double checking your spelling, going through over 1,000,000 websites, clicking on the website, load it, click download, type in the CAPTCHAs, and, oh my god, pray you got the CAPTCHA right, and wait for the download, and pray that the download was good, Mobilism will do that all that searching and bypass CAPTCHAs for you in seconds! Just search, click, and download!!!
Now the download timeframe depends on your mobile connection, such as 2G, 3G, 4G, and WIFI. And I tell you now—go WIFI if you want SECOND downloads for apps and 15+ minute downloads for movies. If you use 3G or 4G, you download times for apps will be minutes and hours for movies. I hate users that complain that downloads take forever and them blame the app service. And I always say to them---“Download times vary on YOUR internet connection. If you want faster times, get a better wireless carrier or Internet Service Provider! Don’t blame the app!”
There are three versions of Mobilism, Free, Premium, and VIP Premium. The Free version has NO ads. But it will take you to the file hosting webpage only. You still have to do the CAPTCHA and wait for the downloads. The second version is Mobilism Premium. This is the service that bypasses all that stuff stated above! Just search, click and download. Then there is VIP Premium. VIP Premium will get you VIP status on Mobilism and ALL downloads. It tells the server that your download takes priority over FREE and PREMIUM users, thus putting their downloads on hold, and making your download even faster. One year of Premium Access is $20 USD. VIP Premium Service is $25 USD. If you would like to purchase a Premium or VIP Premium Account, please follow the instructions here. If you just want the app, for free, with no ads, and don’t care about 1) typing CAPTCHAs on your mobile keyboard and 2) download wait times from file hosting websites, then download here. Download Mobilism Market Here.
Mobilism – 9.3 of 10 stars
Now without further wait, here is the review.
Originality – 10 of 10 stars
Mobilism is very original. It does not mimic any Market, Marketplace, or Appstore. It has its own look and feel. Kudos on that! And since it has been in service since 2006, the time of RAZRs, fat blackberries, and pre-iphone/android Smartphone era, it can definitely claim originality.
UI / User Interface / User controls – 9 of 10 stars
The User Interface (UI) is sleek. No lags. Very Well Organized. Just point, click, search, and download! Your in control! There is room for improvement, as with ANY app on Earth! Nothing is perfect. As my Grandmother always said, “Keep working and it always gets better!” One thing I would change is where GPS, Movies, and Books are located. Currently, they are located in the “Platform” section/tab. I would move these three to either A) their own section/tab or B) the “your OS name” section tab (that would be the “Android” section tab for me) where the software/app and game sub-sections are located. Again, there is always room for improvement!
Graphics – 9 of 10 stars
All graphics are original. Plus, with no ads and no animations, there is no lag! However, the Free download tabs (green buttons) and premium download tabs (blue buttons) are small. With my fat fingers, I must use my pinky. Hehehe. So an increase in size of these icons can be a possible future improvement. Don’t get me wrong. I wont whine, throw hissy fits, and commit suicide if this does not happen! hehehe
Stability – 9 of 10 stars
I have tested this app for 1 week. So far, I have downloaded apps, games, movies, and even Kindle Book (I own an Android DROID X). I have used Verizon 3G in the USA and my own WIFI on my ISP. I downloaded singles and even triple downloads. Never once did I get any force closes of the app, app freeze, app crashes, slowness in app UI, or slowness of the main OS of your device. The only slowness I experienced was in my cellular/WIFI internet data connection speed when I exited Mobilism while the files were downloading in the background and I was surfing Facebook or Youtube or mobile internet. And, to the techno-newbies reading this, that is so beyond obvious. My bandwidth (internet speed) is being used for the downloads and my surfing usage. The more you do, the slower your connection becomes. Just basic techno-logic.
However, there are some download file hosting sites that have removed the app/game/movie/book. For example, I tried to download the movie Red State by Kevin Smith. Huge Kevin Smith fan! However, the downloads were removed from filesonic and megaupload. Yet the movie is still listed on Mobilism. While Mobilism does its best to track working links in file hosts, sometimes snags are expected. This is not Mobilism’s fault. It’s the file hosts fault for sending out an active file link!!! But there can be improvement on Mobilism’s part to possibly prevent this in the future.
Usefulness in Mobile life – 10 of 10 stars
100% useful on daily basis! There are apps here that are not located ANYWHERE! It also remember what you have downloaded from them in the past if you need updates to the app versions. Mobilism goes even further. It will scan your phone and see what apps you already have, regardless on where you got the apps. AND, if that app has an updated version on the internet, then it will update your app if you so choose to!!! Again, your in control!
Now for my rant as “usefulness” can be debated. Read or bypass to the next section if you can care less about my rants! In regards to usefulness, this depends on you, the user, and where you, the user, stands on the ethical/un-ethical standpoint of a FREE Alternative Marketplace/Appstore. And I wont debate it here. I will only give my point of view.
If you have the money and want to buy apps from your respective markets/appstores, then go do so. Or, if you feel like you’re screwing over the developers and refuse to support this or any alternative market/appstore, then that is your right.
I will forever use any market/appstore service if available to me. That is my right. I currently have 6 Android Markets on my phone. I support them ALL! I also support my developers. I’ll buy before I obtain it for free. If I want an app and I’m running low on money or my paycheck is late or hasn’t cleared my bank yet, then ill post-date a donation to them and get my app for free. Or, even better, if I want a UI skin (launcher as we call them in Android), but I refuse to pay for it (like SPB Shell 3D for $14.95), or pay for ANY APP that has a ridiculous price (like that SPB Shell 3D app), then ill get it for free and donate $1-$3 dollars. I wont bypass my developers and ignore them, but sometimes the Honor System applies (you pay based on what you think its worth. Hence my donations rather than purchases.)
My standpoint is in this quote… and its based on IBM’s Linux and Google Android. "Collecting data is the 1st step towards wisdom, but sharing data is the 1st step towards community!". I am a HUGE supporter and believer in Open Source Technology, such as Linux and Android. It is and within the your, the user’s, right to share and modify your apps, games, movies, books, music, etc anyway you choose. You can share this “wisdom” for free or even charge for it. That is your choice. What the Community has done with online file hosting is take their “wisdom” and provide it, free or charge, for anyone to download at anytime. Mobilism has only dipped into this gold mine. So if an app developer wants to charge for his/her app, then they can charge for it. But if only one user paid for it, and then decides to post it for free online for the community, then that is their right too. If I bought some sugar and my neighbor needed some, Ill give them a cup or two of sugar. Does that make the sugar companies pissed? I bet it does. But I don’t see the police knocking on my door because I shared a cup of sugar. There are international copyrights, legal mumbo jumbo, and even internal code to prevent apps to be shared for free. But, with over 185 countries, different “legal terms” to describe the above, and the non-policement of the internet, Open Source is here to stay. Ill share my sugar. Will you?
App Security – 9 of 10 stars
There are a bunch of Malware, spyware, and viruses on the internet. We all have to except that fact just like every religion on Earth has terrorist extremists. It’s a fact of life. Lets say that one your downloads could be buggy. Think of the process to clean it. Apps/games/movies/books are uploaded by the first user to the file hosting service. Its scanned by them. Then, you download it. It goes to Mobilism’s server where it is again scanned for download. Then it hits your phone. And if you’re a severe paranoid schizophrenic, you will have 2-5 anti-virus apps running on your phone at any given time, like Lookout, Norton, AVG, Scanner, etc. Hehehe I only have 1, its called Lookout Mobile Security. After the download, these 1-5 anti-virus you have will scan your download and tell you if its safe. Or if its buggy, it will kill the virus and mal-ware. Basically, ergo, therefore, henceforth, your chances of your phone getting infected from an app you got via Mobilism is… like… less than 1%. So why did I give it 9 stars? There is that 0.9% chance that a bug could remain even after all those scans. No electronic device, whether it’s a phone or tablet or PC or MAC or Iphone, can escape viruses! It’s a fact of life!
Met expectations – 9 of 10 stars
Mobilism has met my expectations, and then some. The only complaints are crazy stupid complaints, like icon sizes, broken download links from file hosts, and some other organization technique. Nonetheless, I am highly impressed!
