“Heyy, there’s the person I was looking for!” Mobius’ voice came up behind you as you sat at your desk. You turned your head to see Mobius lean down and place his hand on the partition surrounding your cubicle, his other hand finding the back of your chair.
“What do you want, Mobius?” You couldn’t help but feel the corner of your lip turn up at the appearance of the man.
“Why’d you say it like that? Aren’t you pleased to see me?” Mobius pouted at your lack of enthusiasm. The truth was you were happy to see him. You had crushed on the man since the moment he pulled you from the court room and convinced the TVA to put you to work.
You had been a variant that strayed from their path but you hadn’t been malicious or dangerous, it had merely been a mistake. Mobius had seen your drive and ambition as a detective during your mortal life and he had advocated to put you to work; especially as (Mobius had put it) ‘Many hands make light work’ and there was a lot of work at the TVA.
“It seems that nowadays you only visit me when you need something from me, Mo.” You continued to type up the report Mobius had interrupted with his presence.
“Well I’d visit you more if you actually took up my lunch offers.” Mobius had asked you several times about having lunch together but the Judge, Renslayer, had warned you from the beginning that in-office fraternisation was extremely frowned upon. And you were more wary of Renslayer since you were a variant, you could be reset even if you were one of the best workers the TVA...
You stopped typing and spun around in your chair, forcing Mobius to straighten up.
“What do you need now, Mobius?” You asked, your eyebrows raised slightly.
“I actually need you.” Mobius kept his voice low as he looked round the office for any eavesdroppers.
“What for?” You asked.
“I need you to come with me to look at this file. It’s a case I’m stuck on and I could really use your eagle eye.” Mobius’ light attitude wasn’t hiding the concern that sat in the wrinkle of his eyes.
“Why don’t you bring it to my desk and I’ll take a look after I finish typing up these reports?” You were confused to why Mobius needed you to look at it away from your desk. Mobius kneeled down in front of you so he could lower his voice even more.
“Look, you know I wouldn’t usually do this but it’s pretty urgent and you’re not exactly authorised to look at these files since they're classified but you’d really be doing me a solid if you just ignored that fact and followed me now?” Mobius revealed the truth and you felt your chest tighten. These risks were always bigger for you than for him since he was higher up than you and Renslayer favoured him.
“If I do this for you and I get caught, I’ll––”
“––I won’t let that happen.” Mobius cut you short, assuring you. His eyes told you that he was making a promise with that statement.
You thought in silence for a moment before saving the incomplete report and leaving your desk.
No one had really noticed you leaving with Mobius as they all had their own work to do but that didn't stop the paranoia raking through your brain.
You had barely made your way down the corridor when Mobius cursed under his breath. Renslayer appeared out of a doorway with several high up TVA members by her side.
“Darn...” Mobius grabbed hold of your forearm before tugging you inside a door to his right.
Mobius reached past you and closed the door on you both carefully and that’s when you realised he had tugged you into a very tight, very cluttered janitors closet.
“What are you doing?” You whispered, looking up at Mobius as he stood behind you.
You both faced the door, the confined closet didn’t allow you to move much without making noise with the small disc like cleaning robots and a few buckets surrounding you.
“I didn’t exactly want to be answering a hundred and one questions on why I've taken you away from your desk.” Mobius whispered, his breath tickling your ear as he bent down slightly.
“You could’ve said we were going to the canteen?” You whispered back.
Footsteps nearing the door shut you both up. You felt Mobius slither his arm around your torso and pull you further back into the closet, your back flushed against his chest.
You were grateful it was dark otherwise Mobius would've seen your eyes grow wide at the action.
Your heart began to race as you felt his warm body firm against yours.
“I could have said that but I think the fact we were walking in the opposite direction to the canteen may have given us away.” Mobius and his smart mouth murmured.
“And don’t you think getting caught in a broom closet together will be even harder to explain?” You swallowed the lump in your throat as you tried to push back the burning feeling in the pit of your stomach.
“We won’t get caught.” Mobius didn’t loosen his grip on you or remove his arm as the outside of the closet grew quiet again.
“This is your fault if we do.” You unconsciously shifted on your feet out of nerves but that only caused accidental friction between you and Mobius.
Your stomach flipped when you heard the almost silent groan from Mobius as your behind rubbed against his crotch.
You remained in silence for a few seconds before Mobius spoke again.
You could practically hear the smirk in his voice.
“Your heart is beating very fast.” He commented as he tightened his arm around you.
You didn’t say anything. Briefly closing your eyes as you inhaled a cool breath.
“Your hair smells nice. You using a new shampoo?” Mobius was teasing you now...
“Mobius.” You hissed lowly, warning him to knock it off.
“What? It’s not everyday I get to be so close to a beautiful woman, will you not take the compliment?”
“We should leave. They’re probably gone now.”
“What’s the rush? I’m quite enjoying this.” Mobius let his other arm wrap around you, embracing you from behind and keeping you locked against him.
“Mobius... Please...” You muttered, your hands resting on his arms but not really doing anything to fight against him.
“What’s the matter?” Mobius’ lips brushed against the skin of your ear and you felt your whole body go rigid against him.
There had been no denying the attraction between you two in the past. There had even been a moment where you had almost kissed before which is why you usually tried to keep your distance nowadays.
You had been sitting in the library with Mobius, side by side as you worked on your own separate reports when you had dropped your pen and you had both reached down to pick it up. Mobius had gotten to it first but you had locked eyes as you slowly came up, the distance between you was so small that you could feel his breath tickling your cheeks but before anything could happen, Casey interrupted you.
“You know, I’m really liking this new skirt. It’s an improvement to those trousers you wore last week.” Mobius let one of his arms drop from you and his fingers brushed lightly over the hem of your skirt. You had to refrain from shuddering when his finger skimmed across the back of your leg.
“Mobius, this is dangerous.” You leant your head back onto his shoulder and looked up at the man’s dark eyes in the dim light.
“I thought you liked danger... Excitement...” Mobius smirked, his fingers trailing up the outside of your thigh.
“Mo...” His name barely came out as a breath on your lips.
“Tell me to stop and I’ll stop.” Mobius let his fingers trace circles on your smooth skin before he continued anywhere too intimate.
You didn’t tell him to stop.
Mobius dragged his fingers along the back of your thigh until they found the thin material of your panties.
Your chest quickly began to rise and fall as your heart raced from the action.
His index and middle finger brushed lightly underneath you before he squeezed your ass cheek firmly.
You let out a whimper as you closed your eyes.
“Shhhh...” Mobius hushed you. “You gotta stay quiet. Can you do that?”
You nodded your head, unsure whether your words would fail you if you tried to use them.
“Good girl.”
Mobius’s fingers returned between your legs edging your panties to the side as he dipped them between your folds.
“My my, I’ve barely touched you...” Mobius taunted you over just how wet you were for him already. “Are you always like this for me?”
You nodded again, rolling your hips slightly to try and create some friction between you and his hand.
“Impatient, aren't we?” Mobius didn’t hesitate to answer your silent request by finding your clit and rubbing circles against you.
You jaw fell open slightly at the fire that ignited deep inside of you. Your grip on his arm around your torso grew tighter as he played with you.
“I’ve imagined this before but never in a janitors closet.” Mobius moved his hand closer to your entrance. “Still I’m not complaining...” He slipped his finger inside of you, causing a loud gasp to slip from your lips.
Mobius let out a low chuckle as he pumped his finger in and out of you, adding a second finger as you stepped your legs open to give him better access.
You tried to encourage Mobius’ other hand down your front to increase your pleasure but Mobius was stronger than you had expected.
“Now, you’re wrong if you think you’re the one in control here... If you want something, you better ask.” Mobius’ seemed amused by your desperate attempt to have some control over his actions.
“Please, Mobius.” You begged breathlessly as he finger fucked you from behind.
“Please what?” Mobius paused. The sudden lack of movement was agony.
“Touch me.” You pushed his arm down and this time he let you. He loosened his grip from around you and pulled your skirt up the front of your thighs to gain access to your clit.
But the pressure was too much.
You bit down hard on your bottom lip to try your best to stay quiet.
“There’s a good girl.” Mobius’ eyes were glued to your face as your features twisted with pleasure.
Mobius withdrew the hand that had been inside of you and wrapped it around your neck as he pulled you against him once again. The hot slick that covered his fingers dampened your skin.
You could feel his large bulge against your behind as he worked on your clit, pushing your hips against him.
The overwhelming sensation soon washed over you as you came undone at his touch.
You wasted no time, still throbbing from your climax, by spinning around and finally taking what was yours.
You kissed Mobius, wrapping your arms around him, burying a hand in his short silver hair.
Mobius hungrily kissed you back. His tongue exploring your mouth as you savoured the long awaited moment. You tugged off his brown jacket with a deep desire to feel what was underneath.
“Mobius...” You mumbled into the kiss. “Fuck me.”
Mobius didn’t wait a second longer. He pulled his belt from his pants and immediately unzipped his fly, letting his slacks fall to his knees as he pulled his thick member from his briefs.
You let your hand drop down to his tie, wrapping it around your fist to keep a grip on him.
Mobius reached up underneath your skirt and tugged your soaked panties down your thighs, you helped him remove them by kicking them off your feet.
Mobius lifted your leg up onto his hip as he aligned his member up with your opening.
He wrapped his arm behind you, keeping you against him as he thrusted deep within you.
You winced, biting down on the starchy fabric of his shirt on his shoulder to muffle your cry.
“God...” Mobius groaned as his member twitched inside of you. You were hot and tight and Mobius had only dreamt you felt as good as you did around him.
“Is this what you wanted?” Mobius admired your face as you pulled back, taking a firm hold of his shoulder.
“Yes...” You whimpered as he slowly began to move his hips against you.
“Yes, what?” Mobius cocked his eyebrows at you. Your eyes opened wide at the question.
“Yes... sir.” You had called Mobius sir on a few occasions, mainly when Renslayer had been around. You tested the waters with it.
Mobius suddenly picked up the pace, thrusting deeper inside of you as he held onto you tightly.
You moved your own hips against him, pleasure waves rolling over you as he hit that sweet spot inside of you with each deep thrust.
The closet had become hot and sweat built on both of your foreheads as Mobius fucked you. You knew that you both wouldn’t last much longer as Mobius closed his eyes, digging his fingers into your thigh and back.
“Mobius.” You whimpered as you felt your climax surface once again.
“Be a good girl and cum for daddy.” Mobius let it slip from his mouth before he could even think about what he had said.
You felt your insides flutter at the use of the pet name.
With a few more hard thrusts, you came undone around his own throbbing cock.
Mobius cursed under his breath as his seed spilled out, he managed to pull out just quick enough for it to drip down the inner of your leg.
“I’m sorry.” Mobius reached over in the dark to rummage for a rag to help clean you up.
You bent down awkwardly in the small space and used your panties to wipe away the excess.
Mobius almost went hard again at the idea of you going commando for the rest of the day.
“Should we get to that file?” You asked, tucking the ruined panties into Mobius’ pocket after he put his jacket back on.
“Perhaps we should find a bathroom first. Make ourselves presentable.” Mobius reached out and touched your bottom lip with his thumb. It had swollen up from where you had bit it too hard.
“Separate bathrooms or we may just find ourselves like this again.” You chuckled lightly as you adjusted your clothing.
“God I hope so.” Mobius followed you out of the closet with a devilish smile.

You gasped between the hot, wet kiss. His hands were holding your waist, pressing your body against his own in a desperate manner. Mobius hummed, his tongue making its way to lick your lips and asking for permission for dominance.
He had you with your back pinned against the door of your room, still trying to not make any loud sound that would wake up the rest of the agents on the building. You moaned when his fingers made their way between your legs.
“How was it?” you gasped, his fingers brushing against your panties.
“Difficult,” he breathed on your neck, leaving some kisses carefully to not leave marks on your skin... not yet. “Particularly stressful.”
“You have to stop taking variants under your wing,” you mumbled.
“Well, you helped me to persuade Ravonna, that makes you an accomplice,” Mobius teased, his hand now between your legs, pushing your panties to the side to touch that spot where you needed him the most.
“Yeah, I guess so, oh-” you whimpered as one of his fingers slided easily inside of your wet heat.
The man started to work on you, your hands directed themselves to his tie, forcing him into another rough, sloppy kiss. Your hips moved frenetically finding a rythm to match his. Just when you felt that familiar sensation building up on your belly, he pulled his hand from you to start and taking the rest of your clothes off with despair.
You helped him with his suit until you were lead to your bed, crawling on top of him. His hands roaming all over your skin while you kissed passionately, your hips grinding against his hard dick just to tease him. One of his hand cupped your cheek, breaking the kiss. Mobius observed you, with your plump lips and eyes full of lust. You were so beautiful like this.
“What’s the matter?” you breathed, kissing the corner of his lips softly.
“Nothing, you’re just gorgeous,” Mobius mumbled, stroking your cheek softly. “And hot, but I prefer you like this,” he said, flipping you so now you were lying in the matress under him, your legs around his waist.
He left kisses on your neck, he followed down to your breasts. You gasped, with eyes closed, losing yourself into his touch that was delicate but eager at the same time. You pulled him again to kiss his lips harshly, your tongue swirling with his. You moaned between the kiss feeling his fingers playing with your folds, helping to the wetness being created between your legs.
“Stop playing,” you breathed on his lips. “Are you not stressed or something?”
“I was, not anymore when I’m with you,” he whispered, kissing you back again.
Two of his fingers stretched you easily, you nipped softly at his lips, moaning against his mouth. After a couple of minutes, he quickly withdraw his digits and aligned himself between your legs, rubbing the tip of his cock on your wet pussy.
Mobius finally filled you up slowly, letting you adjust to his lenght. After so many times you still are not used to him, and fuck, how you missed him. You missed him so much, your hands on his shoulders and all over his chest to press him even closer, as humanly possible - if you were humans whatsoever. You breath back a moan as he hits the right spot over and over.
The sound of your skin against skin fills the room with the sinful smell of sex and sweat of your bodies as you give into each other. Your foreheads pressed together.
“Fuck, if you keep like that I’m gonna cum so fast,” you moaned out of breath.
His thrusts were getting deeper and faster, almost making you see stars when you felt something up building down your belly. Your hands held onto his arms for dear life, feeling the pleasure envolving you completely.
Mobius followed, releasing between your thighs after you come down from your high with a low groan of your name being said like a prayer to him. You stay together, like if you were bounded, for a moment, until he colapses beside you in the bed.
“Did it make you feel better?” you whispered, resting your head on his chest.
You've been working side-by-side with Mobius since you joined the TVA. In fact, you couldn't remember a time when you were without his playful teasing and kind smiles. You couldn't remember a time before Mobius, and you hoped he would be in your future too.
AN: wrote this before Loki Episode 4, so sorry if there’s any incongruency. Enjoy!
“Damn it!” Mobius threw his arms up and over his head as the glowing temporal portal closed behind Loki. “Ah!”
You watched as he kicked at the supermarket floor. The sole of his shoe sneaked against the smooth tile and undercut the anger behind his action. However, it did not do anything to ease the nervousness that twisted your gut. You barely ever saw Mobius so angry, so far removed from his cool demeanor.
“We need to go,” pressed one of the field agents. “It’s about to redline.”
“Everything is going to redline!” Mobius shouted, his back turned to you and the other agents. “Damn it!”
The agents glanced at each other before they looked to you. Through their visors, you could feel their waiting eyes watching you for any sign of ‘next steps’. Despite working on the Laufeyson-Laufeydottir case with Mobius for a while, you were still lacking field experience. Let alone experience in how to handle multiple redlining branch timelines at once.
In an unfamiliar situation, you would look to Mobius. Yet, when you looked to him then, his back was still turned and his hands were behind his head, elbows in the air, defeated.
So, you used the only useful experience you had and walked over to Mobius. You stepped to stand in front of him in the hopes of drawing his attention back to your shared surroundings. Though, Mobius’ eyes remained fixed above and past you. He stared into the red, dimly lit superstore.
“Mobius,” you murmured, “Mobius, please.”
At the sound of your voice, small and soft, his light eyes met your gaze. His arms fell down to his sides, but he remained silent. You frowned and stepped closer until his body heat kissed your own.
Slowly, you reached your hands up and held his shoulders. Drops of rain that still clung to his coat soaked into the skin of your palms. It was a cold touch at first and the chill that raced up your arms pushed you to let go. As you did, you brushed your hands down, traced across his biceps, his elbows, until you started to pull away.
As you dropped your hands, ready to lead the charge out of the apocalypse and back to the TVA, Mobius caught one of your wrists. With a slight jolt, you stalled in your movements and craned your neck to meet his gaze. In his eyes, you saw glimmers of fear. You had known Mobius since...since forever, but you had never seen him afraid.
“We have to go,” you pressed, gently maneuvering you hand into his. “We can deal with this.”
“We can...yeah. We need to go,” he echoed as your fingers intertwined. You nodded in agreement and gave his hand a squeeze. It felt so natural, the feeling of Mobius’ skin against yours. Surely it was against the TVA code of conduct. It had to be.
His touch grounded you so well, too well. Just as it had when you first hugged when he transferred you to the Laufeyson case. It eased your doubt and fear but instilled you with fear for a different reason. Though, it seemed your touch did the same for Mobius, minus the latter half. Fear faded from his eyes and his typical steadiness returned as he turned around.
With resolve, Mobius walked over to the other agents and bid one or them to open a new temporal portal to the TVA. Never once did he pull away or drop his hand from yours. If anything, Mobius’ hold on you tightened as you all strode through the golden-lit doorway. For a moment, you were hopeful that he wouldn’t let go at all.
Those hopes were dashed the second you stepped inside the TVA. People were scattered about, running to and fro with fear chasing after their shadows. Shouts, some of anger and others of urgency, sounded out in a cacophonous chorus.
At the sight of mass panic, Mobius dropped your hand and your face fell with it.
“We need to find the Variant and Loki,” he said, eyes still taking in the scene, “now.”
“Where would they go?”
He glanced back at you with slightly wide eyes. “Another apocalypse, to hide.”
“Okay, but...there’s countless,” you replied, your mind racing through the possibilities.
“All the files are still out at my desk.” Mobius immediately began dodging through the crowds of TVA workers. You followed closely after him, letting the platoon of field agents you traveled with get swept away in the chaos. As you moved, bumping shoulders with passersby, you wished Mobius would reach behind himself and grab your hand again.
Quickly, you swallowed the thought and asked, “what if we had the means to track them?”
“Track them.” Mobius echoed, barely throwing his gaze over his shoulder at you as he continued to forge a path to his desk.
“With an energy surge maybe...or the TemPad. It would save us time, instead of jumping from one world-ending event to another.”
“Right as always, Y/N,” he said, pausing just enough so you could walk in stride with him through the bustling hallways.
Every now and then, as you both hurried to Mobius’ desk, his hand would brush against yours. It was a tender knocking of knuckles or the tips of his fingers kissing your own as his arms swung with each step. It was a comfort. Though, it was also a terrible temptation to reach out, one that you found yourself fighting far too frequently since you started to work with Mobius on his case.
How many times had you caught yourself staring too long at the lazy, almost ever-present smile on his lips? Was there a time you didn’t melt at the sound of his laughter or feel your chest warm with adoration as you watched him work? Even Loki had teased you about it, though Mobius had always been quiet to diffuse the teasing. Focusing had been difficult, but you had to reign it in, for the sake of the Sacred Timeline.
However, the sight of Mobius’ desk dampened your determination. It was just as you, he, and Loki left it: covered in files. With a sigh, you strode over and flicked through the ones you discarded before, hundreds of apocalyptic happenings condensed to a few pages. As you began to pull the happenings interest, you heard a shuffling.
You looked up and saw Mobius. With a small huff, tossed his jackets along the back of his chair and began to tug at the straps of his tactical vest. His knuckles went white with strain as he pulled to no avail. At the first grumble of frustration, you dropped the files back on top of the desk and moved over to Mobius.
“Here, let me help.”
Before he could protest, you were unfastening the numerous straps and buckles of his vest. Beneath your working fingers, Mobius’ chest rose and fell quickly. You figured he was still angry about Loki’s betrayal, despite how you both saw it coming. No matter the cause for his rapid breaths, you continued to work until Mobius was without his vest, clad only his button-down and sideways tie.
“Feel like I’m always fixing this for you,” you muttered as you straightened the tie.
“You’re the best at it,” Mobius said, his voice gentle and luring you to look up at him. When you did, you found there was no lingering anger in his features. His brow was relatively relaxed, given the high-stress situation you were all in, and barely-there hints of his signature smile played at the corners of his mouth. “You’re the best.”
You shook your head and let your hands fall to your sides. “I’m...I’m just following your lead. I-”
“Don’t discount yourself,” he interrupted softly. His eyes fell from yours as he added, “you really pulled me back together, back there. I...thank you.”
“What are partners for?” You asked, a light-hearted tilt in your voice that you hoped would break the budding tension. It seemed to work as Mobius met your gaze once more. There was some serious glint in his eyes though that made your heart flutter.
“Yeah…”
A long, still stint of silence passed between you. Quietly, you both stared at each other. Mobius caught his breath and you felt your general unease ebb. It was just the two of you. Together you would fix this, figure it out. You just had to muscle through the want to pull Mobius close and forget everything else.
“So, we-”
“Y/N-”
You both paused and eyed each other in wait, wanting the other to speak first.
“You go,” Mobius said after a beat.
“No, no, you.” Mobius gave you an unamused look and you pressed him. “Go.”
He shifted his weight on his feet before he heeded your entreatment. “This isn’t the time or really the place for this,” he gestured to the files stacked around you both, “but...it’s been eating away at me…”
“What has?” You asked, your brow furrowing as you studied Mobius. He looked suddenly far away. His mind was somewhere else, lost in some memory.
“That promise you made, when I first transferred you…”
A smile crept along your lips as he rambled and reminisced on the occasion. “Mobius…”
“I know you made the promise to me, but I felt like I made it to you, too. Ya know?” You breath caught at his words, at the implications; but before you could interject, he continued. “But now, I can’t focus when you’re around, not like before. I need to tell you that-”
“Mobius,” you stepped forward and tugged him softly by the tie. His eyes met yours and you felt a sudden swell of courage. “I think I broke that promise.”
His eyebrows rose and his smile deepened. “Yeah?”
“Yeah,” you replied, the word floating on the upward turn of a chuckle.
“Well that’s...that’s one good thing to come of this.”
You nodded but still held back. Mobius’ tie slipped through your fingers and you let it as it was too much of a temptation. You were still wary about crossing some invisible line, some rule listed in a dust-covered TVA handbook lost in a desk drawer. But the way Mobius looked at you, with his light eyes bright and longing, made it impossible.
It was impossible not to lean upon your tip-toes and press a kiss to Mobius’ cheek. Your lips did not linger long, but it was enough to bloom goosebumps along your skin. When you pulled back, you were greeted by Mobius’ wide smile. Before you could tease him about his grin, Mobius’ hands reached out and pulled you flush against him.
His fingers trailed up to your face and tilted your lips towards his. Mobius waited, giving you a chance to pull away. You smiled at his carefulness, his unwillingness to push things too far. It made you comfortable, Mobius made you comfortable; even when the world around you was falling apart.
So, you leaned forward and Mobius kissed you. His mustache tickled your skin but you were far too distracted by the softness of his lips against yours. Slowly, he pulled away and met your gaze. His breath danced along your neck and coaxed an easy, comfortable smile to your lips.
“Think you can focus now?” You asked, meeting Mobius’ gaze.
“Yeah, yeah,” he replied, pulling away, “I’ll pull info about TemPad tracking and redline surges.” Mobius turned as if to walk away before he leaned down to kiss you again. It was a quicker, more chaste kiss that lasted only a few seconds. “Yeah, I can focus.”
You smiled and shook your head as Mobius retreated towards the shelves of files. He left you by his desk, your lips tingling with the lasting love of his touch.
AN: Been stuck in my head since episode 4 but only managed to write it down. It’s not the best I’ve written but I just wanted to get something out there for you guys!
Summary: At the TVA, you and Mobius have always had a connection and you believed that your feelings were so strong that you even dreamt of him at night but what if those dreams weren't actually dreams... But memories...

A tired smiled stretched across your lips as you saw the older gentleman start to saunter across the dining hall.
“Good morning.” Mobius greeted you as he sat himself down at your table. “Sleep well?” He asked, his eyes never leaving you as he raised his coffee up to his lips.
“Better than you, I’d say.” You knew Mobius had been on call the previous night in case the Loki variant attacked once again.
“It was a quiet night actually.” Mobius shrugged as he sank back in his chair. “Managed to get my crossword finished.”
“So you found that 4 letter word for passion?” You let yourself smirk slightly as you teased the man.
“Zeal... Don’t know why it took me so long to figure out.” Mobius confessed before letting out a large yawn.
You pressed your lips into a thin line as you watched the older gentleman stretch back against his chair, the weariness unable to hide within his features.
“You know, Renslayer has other analysts. She doesn’t need to use you all the time.” You muttered as you tried to hide your sympathy towards the man.
“Ravonna may have a few analysts on the side but she doesn’t have another analyst better than I am.” Mobius tried using humour to defend Renslayers actions but you weren't swayed by his usual charm.
“No, you’re just never satisfied until the job is done which makes you think you’re the best.” You shook your head at him.
“You would know.” Mobius winked at you, sending a warmth to your cheeks.
You and Mobius had been seeing each other on the low for a short while now. It had taken some time for you two to actually get to this point; before it had just been sneaky glances, occasional flirting (mostly from Mobius) and general nerves around each other but now you were in the midst of a pretty serious relationship.
It was against the rules of working at the TVA for any kind of romantic/sexual relationships as they could lead to nexus events if you weren’t too careful but you and Mobius never really cared much for that rule once meeting each other.
You watched Mobius lift the coffee mug back to his lips to hide his smile as one of your coworkers walked past the table; nodding in greeting at the both of you.
That’s when the dream from last night started to unfog itself... A flash of Mobius drinking a coffee in what looked like a classroom.
“You okay?” Mobius asked when he noticed your features furrow as you zoned out.
“Yeah, just suddenly remembered my dream from last night.” You looked back up at him.
“Anything interesting?” Mobius cocked his eyebrow at you with a subtle smile across his lips.
“If you come to my office later I’ll tell you about it.” You lowered your voice down to a whisper in fear someone else could hear you.
“Guess I better get to work then... I’ll see you on my lunch break.” Mobius grinned brightly as he pushed himself out of his chair.
You watched Mobius leave the hall before you finally went to your own office for the day.
Throughout the morning, you tried your best to focus on your paperwork but when you had dreams as vivid as the one you had last night you usually became pretty distracted.
You lightly tapped your pen against your desk as you began to replay the dream in your head.
You watched the older man sit back against his desk as he faced the class.
“And now we know it was Fitzgerald’s zeal and determination to write something new—something extraordinary and beautiful and simple and intricately patterned that lead to the creation of the Great Gatsby.”
A sudden eruption of cheering from a nearby window signalled the end of the day and the start of the weekend (which was the Friday night baseball game) as the band started to play just outside the building.
The windows were open, allowing the disruption and the warm early summer air to sneak into the lecture hall.
“Alright, get lost.” Your professor pulled his hand from his pant pocket and waved you all towards the door. “I know you all wanna support our boys out there tonight. Have fun this weekend, stay safe, just don’t show up to my class hungover on Monday morning again... Aaron...”
A large group of boys all laughed and shoved one another as they made their way to the doors.
It was a home game for the baseball that night so the campus was humming with excitement.
But you didn’t care much for sports.
“Not rushing off to one of the pregame tailgate parties?” Mobius stepped towards you as you slowly packed up your books.
“I think a cold shower is what’s calling my name right now.” You confessed as you zipped up your bag.
“And here I thought you were sticking around for me.” Mobius cocked his head at you with a mischievous glint.
“You know I can’t with this many people still in the building.” You felt a heat creep up your neck as you tried not to look up at the man. You knew one look would be enough to persuade you to stay.
“Everyone’s heading off for the game tonight. Classes are over for the week and no one is inside with this heat at the moment. Who says we can’t have a little extra study time?” Mobius gestured back to the still open door where you could see an empty hall.
“Well I could use some help with the most recent assignment.” You gnawed on your lip, lifting your gaze to meet his as you finally gave in.
“Well, we better get started right away then.” Mobius hurried over to the door to lock it before returning to you.
You reached up and wrapped your arms around the back of the man’s neck.
“I like this look on you.” You silently thanked the current heatwave for Mobius’ outfit that day. He had removed his blazer to reveal a tight white shirt with his sleeves rolled up to just below the elbow. His top button was undone with his tie just a fraction looser then usual.
“Well today was just a bit too hot for wool.” Mobius referred back to his blazer which was slung across the back of his chair.
You smiled back at the older man before finally kissing him.
You often watched him during his lessons and all you could think about was the fact he was yours and no one else had any clue. You knew it was such a cliche, the student and the professor, but damn... it was worth it.
Mobius pulled back from the kiss with a jovial hum on his lips. His hands held each side of your jaw, his thumbs resting just below your cheeks as he looked down at you.
“It’s been a long day.” Mobius sighed as he slowly started moving you both towards his desk.
You trusted him in guiding you backwards as you stared back up at him with a lazy smile.
“You say that every day.” You relayed.
“Well that’s because it’s true everyday.” Mobius let his hands drop down to your hips as you felt yourself hit the edge of his desk.
You watched a hint of devilry flash through Mobius’ eyes as he lifted you up onto the desk so you were sitting in front of him.
“I like this dress on you.” Mobius took the hem of your dress in between his fingers; the back of his hand gently brushing against your exposed skin sent an ache to your core.
“It’s-- uh-- it’s the only thing I can wear in this heat at the moment.” Your words were barely above a mumble as you tried your best to form a sentence; Mobius letting his hands wrap around your bare thighs had completely scrambled your mind.
“If you want to feel more comfortable, you could always take it?” Mobius knew exactly what he was doing as he leant in towards your ear.
You couldn’t take the teasing...You pulled him back into a kiss, sinking your fingers into his shirt to bring him as close to you as possible.
Mobius instantly moved between your open legs, deepening the kiss between you.
“Mobius...” You exhaled a shaky breath as his tongue began to travel down your neck. He didn’t waste any time as his hand found its way under your skirt and met your panties.
You couldn’t help but push against him, desperate for him to touch you, but Mobius only chuckled at your attempt to create some friction.
“Not so fast, pussycat.” Mobius withdrew his hands and placed them on his hips as he stepped back just to aggravate you.
“Mobius, please...” You were certain your face was flushed with desire. The man had barely touched you and you were already soaking wet.
“Okay fine... But only cause you asked nicely.” Mobius smirked, fully aware of the affect he had on you.
He dropped to his knee and pulled your panties from out underneath you; you lifted your hips to help him.
“Alright...” Mobius tucked your panties into his pocket, “Stay quiet, we don’t need a nosey Nancy interrupting now, do we?” Mobius was nearing your core but his stare held onto yours.
You shook your head, eagerly waiting for him to––––
*Knock Knock Knock*
Your eyes snapped up from your paperwork to the door where you realised you had done absolutely nothing for the past fifteen minutes.
The knock came again.
“Come in!” You cleared your throat before you spoke.
“Hey (Y/n), I’m having some issues again with these new papers.” B-15 entered with a defeated look on her face.
“It’s okay.” You put on a smile as if you hadn't just been replaying your naughty dream about Mobius and your fictional relationship with him inside your head.
You encouraged her over, briefly explaining the answer to her question; something to do with filling in the new assignment briefs and then she went on her way again.
The rest of your morning dragged and you couldn’t wait for lunch to see Mobius again.
You had to stop yourself from jumping from your chair when you heard the latch of the door go.
Mobius was probably the only TVA employee that didn’t knock before entering your office.
“I’ll never understand why you have a whole office and I get a a tiny cubicle.” Mobius had been in your office a handful of times before and mostly on business but he’d never visited on a lunch break.
“It’s cause you're an analyst and field agent and I sit here and do the paperwork you forget to fill in.” Your eyes dropped to Mobius’ hands where he held lunch for you both.
“And that’s the reason I still have a job so thank you.” He chided playfully as he sat on the other side of your desk in one of the plain wooden chairs.
“You better not brag about that either, people will start to think I give you special treatment.” You took the box of salad from Mobius with a wink.
“But you do give me special treatment.” Mobius proclaimed.
“And Renslayer wouldn’t be very happy about it if she found out.”
“That’s true.” Mobius opened the plastic lid off his tub with a pop. “Anyway, I thought you were going to tell me about this dream you had last night.”
“I had another dream where you were a college professor again.” You had told Mobius about these dreams before but you failed to mention it was more often than not that he appeared as your ‘college professor’.
“All these cases must really be getting to your head to bring forward that fantasy again.” Mobius couldn’t help but find it amusing. “Did you steal another playboy from Sandy again?”
You pulled a face at his teasing.
“Well if you don’t want to hear about it then I don’t want to have lunch with you anymore.” You pouted, only partly serious.
“I’m sorry, (Y/n) but you know how I feel about it. These dreams they just so crazy to me. Can you really imagine me as a college professor?” Mobius gestured down at himself with his free hand.
“I don’t have to imagine when I’ve seen it.” You tapped your temple which only forced Mobius to roll his eyes. “Anyway, in this dream, you asked me to stay after class.”
Mobius’ eyes darkened at your change of tone.
“Yeah? And then what?” Mobius leant towards you, the start of a smirk tugging on one corner of his mouth.
You placed your lunch down and rounded your desk, pushing yourself up onto it like you had been sat in your dream.
“And then you took me to your desk and looked over my notes and gave me some extra credit work.” You parted your legs, your brown skirt stretching against your thighs.
Mobius’ lips parted as his eyes flickered down to your legs.
“And were you a good student?” Mobius rose to his feet, tucking in the front of his shirt out of habit.
“The best.” You whispered, reaching out and taking hold of his tie to pull him towards you.
Mobius moved quick to close the gap, kissing you as he stepped in-between your legs.
“I’ve missed you.” He mumbled against your hot skin as he began to kiss down your jaw.
You had to withhold a moan as he nipped gently against your skin.
You dropped your hands to his belt and began to unbuckle him.
“Not so fast, pussycat.” Mobius teased you and the parallel to your dream took you back for a second.
Mobius didn’t take any notice of your shock as he pushed your skirt up your legs and up underneath your ass for easier access.
“Be a good girl and help daddy.” Mobius hooked his fingers under your panties and you lifted your hips to help him remove them.
“You’re already ready for me, aren't you?” Mobius slowly ran a finger in-between your folds causing you to gasp.
“Shhhhh.” Mobius hushed you as he began to circle your clit with his thumb. “Don’t want to get caught in such a compromising position, do we?”
“Mobius...” You groaned his name quietly.
Mobius took that moment to slip his finger inside of you.
Your nails dug into the mans shoulders as you rolled your hips against his hand.
“So impatient.” Mobius tutted.
“Please...” You begged. You had been yearning for this all morning.
Mobius knew he was short on time so listened to your request by tugging down his slacks slightly to free himself.
He stroked himself a couple times before lining up with your entrance.
“Are you gonna be a good girl and stay quiet?” Mobius asked, his hot breath tickling your cheeks.
You nodded your head.
“Good girl.” Mobius purred before pressing himself inside of you.
You had to bite down on your lip as he slowly filled you.
“You okay?” Mobius asked once he had filled you completely, taking a moment to allow you to adjust to his size.
“Yeah.” You assured him.
With that, Mobius didn’t hesitate to pick up his pace.
Your desk quickly began to rock below you both but fortunately was steady enough to take it as Mobius held you flush against him.
“God...” Mobius exhaled sharply as you moved your hips back against him.
“Mobius.” You whimpered as Mobius’ hand shot up to your neck and held onto you. His thumb under your chin as a reminder to remain quiet.
Mobius knew he had to be quick and you were sure how long you were going to last after being so hot and bothered all day.
Mobius would usually take his time but his sloppy, rough pace was quickly bringing you towards your climax.
Mobius pulled out for a second to spin you around, pushing you down against your desk as he pushed himself back inside of you from behind.
You bit down on your fingers to muffle any moans that managed to slip from your mouth.
“God, this is insane.” Mobius couldn’t quiet believe he was fucking you on your desk with the door unlocked in the middle of a work day where anyone could walk in.
Mobius quietly started to mutter under his breath as his own climax itched towards the end.
“You’re my good girl.” Mobius deepened his thrust as you felt your walls tightening around him.
You were soon coming undone around him which brought on his own finish.
He pulled out, spilling his seed down your leg, but quickly cleaning you up with a box of tissues from your shelf in case anyone decided to walk in at that moment.
“Better than a dream?” Mobius smiled as he watched you readjust your clothes and hair.
“Better than a dream.” You couldn’t help but laugh.
-------------------------
As the days went on; Mobius became very busy with his new Loki Variant.
The hostile variant had started attacking more often and Mobius thought the new Loki variant could help but all he seemed to have done was create more hassle for the man.
“Hey stranger.” You greeted Mobius as he sat down in the dining hall opposite you. “You look a little stressed.” It was the first time you had seen him properly in a couple days.
“This Loki has got to be the most irritating variant I’ve encountered in a long time.” Mobius cracked open his soda and took a long swig from the can.
“You really think he can help because if not you could always just––” You gestured poking the variant with an imaginary (what you liked to call a) ‘be-gone stick’.
“If I look past the arrogance, I admit he might actually be useful.” Mobius sighed with a look of frustration darkening his features.
“Speak of the devil...” You excused yourself as you watched the variant enter the hall. You tended to not like to interact with the variants - something didn’t quite sit right with you when you thought about them too hard.
“No, no – Don’t leave...” Mobius tried to stop you but you were already walking away, mouthing a ‘sorry’.
------------------------------
“You got them? You actually got them back?” You rushed to Mobius’ side as he made his way to Renslayer’s office.
The Loki variant and the hostile Loki variant had escaped together but news travelled to you fast when Mobius and the TVA had caught them again due to a nexus event.
“Yeah.” Mobius had a storm of thoughts behind his eyes.
“What’s going on? What has he said to you?” You knew Mobius had just been in the interrogation room with the male Loki variant.
“It’s nothing.” Mobius waved it off as he continued to stride forward. You took hold of his wrist and forced him to stop.
“Mobius. Tell me.” You demanded.
“It’s just something the variant said.” Mobius gave in, placing his hands on his hips, looking down the hallway to see if anyone was around. “He said that we are all variants. That the TVA was lying to us.”
“And you believe him?” You rose your eyebrows at the older man.
Mobius scoffed, hesitating to answer. “No...No... I don’t know.”
“Is that why you’re running off to Renslayer, right now?”
Mobius didn’t verbally answer but the clench of his jaw as he looked away from you did.
“Mobius, these variants will say anything to stop themselves from getting pruned.” You tried to calm him but the way he fidgeted proved he wasn't going to be convinced without some sort of proof.
“I know that.” He grumbled. “I just gotta see why Ravonna won’t let me see the other variant, that’s all.” Mobius excused himself from you without looking back.
You knew he was lying.
The bombshell of the variant’s statement didn’t hit you until you returned to your office.
The more you thought about the theory, the more it made sense. You hadn’t any memories before the TVA, you could’t remember a childhood or anything beyond working there.
All those dreams finally began to make sense. Why they seemed so real - so vivid - it was now understandable how you and Mobius could start a relationship within the TVA and it not create a nexus event... You were always together - had always been together and therefore nothing was changing by you being together now...
The thoughts and theories ran through your brain until you felt your chest tighten and the panic rise.
You pushed the paperwork from your desk as the TVA logo starred up at you.
Had the TVA taken you from your life? A real life you had with Mobius?
Images flooded your brain from dreams that you had over the past few months or how ever long it had been since they started.
Mobius lying in bed with you - you softly stroking his face as he slept.
The first time you met at the college - the way his eyes never left you as you walked past him to get to one of your first classes. The way you smiled shyly at him as your stomach flipped.
The look on his face when he realised you would be one of his students.
The hidden romance - the secret getaways - the sneaky touches - the dreams of you in a real house with him and....
Mobius suddenly burst through your door.
It took him a second to register the mess surrounding your office before he spoke once again.
“I don’t think Loki is lying.” Mobius exclaimed, holding up a temp pad. “Looks like you’ve figured that out too.” He pointed at the mess.
You were unsure of what to say exactly.
“Come on, we gotta get Loki and get out of here.” Mobius held out his hand and you took it without a second thought, following him out of your office and back to Loki’s cell.
“Wait here.” Mobius kissed you lightly after he opened the gateway to reach Loki.
“But–” You tried to protest.
“Please.” Mobius cut you short.
“Okay fine...”You did as you were told but it didn’t take long for Renslayer to realise her temp pad was missing and then show up in front of you.
“Where is he?” She questioned as she walked towards you.
“Who?” You froze, unable to go anywhere with the amount of armed guards she had brought along with her.
“Don’t play stupid, (Y/n).” Renslayer narrowed her eyes at you.
“I have no idea what you’re talking about––” The time cell door opening cut you short.
Mobius and Loki stepped in line with you as they hopped out of it.
“I think you have something of mine.” Renslayer’s hard stare left you and locked onto Mobius.
“Yeah, I got all the way down there before I even realized I picked up yours.” Mobius pulled the temp pad out of his pocket, trying to play it of but it wasn’t working. “What's going on?” Mobius handed over the pad. “What's the problem, Ravonna?”
Renslayer didn’t respond.
“You know where I'd go if I could go anywhere? Wherever it is I'm really from. Yeah, wherever I had a life before the TVA came along. Maybe I was a college professor with an illicit affair with a student who I loved - possibly even the girl I love now. And maybe I had a jet ski. That's what I'd like to do. Just riding around on my jet ski...”
“Prune him.” Renslayer commanded.
And it was too late before you could attempt to stop it.
Mobius had been pruned in front of your eyes.
You were next.
AN: Did you guys want a part 2? And what do you think about Professor Mobius? ;)
You've been working side-by-side with Mobius since you joined the TVA. In fact, you couldn't remember a time when you were without his playful teasing and kind smiles. You couldn't remember a time before Mobius, and you hoped he would be in your future too.
“That’ll kill you, you know.”
“What?” You asked, flicking your tired eyes to the left.
There, Mobius stood and tipped his head towards the coffee machine that sputtered and steamed before you. Fresh brew dripped down the spout like a muddied, leaking faucet. Even before the analogy, the coffee was unappealing, but it was a means to and end. You needed a jolt, some energy, organic or not, to drive you through the uneasy day.
When you looked from the slowly filling pot to Mobius, stood at your side, you expected to see the same distaste. Yet, his light eyes fixed on you and his lips pulled up in a smile so warm that you felt your coffee malaise melt away.
“Too much caffeine,” he clarified.
“Won’t too much of anything kill you?”
“You got me there.” Mobius raised a hand in mock defense as he spoke, and his smile bloomed into a grin. At the sight, you felt your own lips pull upwards. Mobius’ positive attitude was always infectious, infuriatingly so.
“Too much soda,” you continued, half-jokingly, “too much work.”
“Well, you better get used to too much work, since you’re joining me on the Laufeyson Variant case.”
You went rigid in shock and your eyes danced across Mobius’ face. Was he serious?
A quiet moment passed between you and you used the spot of time to read his face. That annoyingly knowing and kind smile remained on his lips. Nothing in his features gave way, whispered of some silent joke. He only blinked at you, seemingly in wait for your reply. He was serious.
“You…”
“I organized your transfer, so if you don’t want a piece of that action, I’ll have to-”
“No! No, I do,” you interrupted in a rush. “I just…” You flicked your eyes around the breakroom, across the scattered, somewhat familiar faces, before you fixed on Mobius’ gaze once more. “I’m debating whether a hug is against the corporate code of conduct.”
Mobius threw his head back slightly as he laughed. “As long as you promise me that you won’t fall in love with me.”
Then it was your turn to laugh. What a funny thought. And how cliche it would be, falling for him, your closest friend, your best confidant, your co-worker. With a fond smile, you shook your head to curtail the continuous chuckle that spilled out of your mouth. No, that simply would not do.
“Promise,” you replied as you met Mobius’ eyes. In their greyish blue, you saw a glimmer. Though, before you could name what it was, he smiled and your chest tightened. Bubbles of lingering laughter caught in your throat as Mobius reached out for you.
It was a bumbling embrace with hands too careful and shoulders too stiff. Mobius’ arms wrapped snugly around your shoulders as yours fastened around his waist. Your body melted into the warmth of his and, in that moment, you realized this was the first time you ever hugged Mobius M. Mobius. How had you waited this long?
Too easily, you succumbed to the swirling whirlwind of doubt and pulled away. “Thanks, for the transfer.”
“It wasn’t really even a choice,” Mobius said with a wave of his hand. You eyed him tenderly and, when you noticed the slant in his tie, you reached out to fix it. Fingertips brushed against the thin fabric of his shirt. Just as you fixed the knot, you looked up at Mobius as he added, “you’re the only one I want with me on this job.”
Heat rushed to your face at his words and you offered him a smile that felt too shy for your liking. You flicked your attention and your hands from Mobius and to the coffee pot that, with a final sputter, dribbled the last fresh drops of brew. You lost your appetite for the drink as you were full-on implications surrounding the Laufeyson case. Caffeine would do nothing compared to the liquid adrenaline running through your veins now. Mobius always had this effect on you, but the thought of working with him, every day…
The idea made it hard to swallow.
“It will be dangerous,” Mobius said softly and his voice coaxed your eyes to his. There was a seriousness in his gaze, the teasing tilt long gone from his features. “There’s...a lot behind the scenes of this case. If you’re not caught up on the Laufeyson file, I have a copy at my desk.”
“I’ve stayed up listening to you talk about it. I think I’ve got it memorized by this point.”
Mobius smiled and his eyes danced across your face. “Great.” He turned his back to you and towards the breakroom door. “Let’s go.”
Your jaw dropped slightly as you watched him go. “Right now?”
“Right now,” he replied as he glanced over his shoulder and back at you. “Unless you wanna take your coffee break.”
As he spoke, Mobius’ grin spread wider across his face. He already knew your answer. He knew you well, too well, in all the ways that mattered. That was why he continued to walk away, confident that you would follow after him and into the slow-moving future at his side.
