Well, at first I had my doubts about Sparklink Stars (the new game Disney Japan is developing)

I mean, the initial character designs they showed were... let's just say, in my opinion, they were lacking something.

But with the reveal of the other idol group (which is inspired by and based on Monsters.Inc) I think I'm going to give it a chance.

I definitely liked Shu Ayakashi design (which is based on Sulley), and not just because Sulley was one of my favorite characters when I was a child.

Yeah, I'm still very 50/50 about Sparklink. I doubt I'm ever going to get as attached to it as Twist, the latter has simply too much stellar character interactions and though the writing is far from perfect, it's very compelling.

The main... band I guess(?) definitely read more as typical anime boys with vague Disney references in their color scheme. It's always going to be compared to Twist, which has set an extremely high bar for character designs that reference their inspiration while still being its own distinct thing. This is going to be amped up even more if Sparklink ever dips into the Disney Villains, which is why I think it's good they're leaning more on other characters and even ones from Pixar which even Twist has yet to touch.

Speaking of, I like these guys considerably more than the Mickey and friends based ones. Might just be personal bias since Monsters Inc is one of my favorite Pixar films, but they're all so much fun. Shu included!

He's probably going to be the tallest of the group since Sully's a big dude. And somebody's probably going to call him "kitty" as a cute nickname, or maybe a derisive one from the Randall guy.

There’s this genre of Roblox games that would like to call “Asylum/roleplay survival games”, in which players often play as students/orphans/patients, etc. and then role play a schedule of events where at night something happens and some players get corrupted.

Games like Red Fox Grammar School, Eden Orphan Home and De Pride Isle Sanatorium are among this genre and seem to be somewhat popular.

They all have the same Health, Hygiene, Hunger and Energy stats as well as an inventory with only a single candle(or a book if you’re playing Violette Boarding School). There are other players who serve as staff members and mange the schedule of events.

Another thing about these games is that the players have to walk to the place the game is centered around and the walks are either really long or short.

Once you get to said place you can get a uniform in the bathroom for morning showers, eat breakfasts do stuff, then get a drink that will corrupt you into a monster or something (or get them during breakfast), then it gets to night and either you explore the halls or stay locked up in your dorm, and then the cycle repeats.

The first time I’ve ever played one of these games was a now probably renamed asylum/institute game and then De Pride Isle Sanatorium. Out of all the games of this genre Violette Boarding School has to be the most interesting one to me, they actually have classes you attend, NPCS, a robot stand in when there isn’t any staff/teachers playing the game, moods emoji that show you if you’re sad, happy, scared or dizzy, and a Knowledge bar that makes you have to gain knowledge by reading the book(previous mentioned in your inventory) and getting more positive moods.

Basically I’ve been playing these types of games a lot and think Violette is one of the best games I’ve played of this genre for some reason just for adding a few little more things and mini game to the mix

My favourite era of mobile games. Subway Surf, Talking Tom & Friends games, games where you had to take care of little blob aliens like Pou, Boo, etc, Temple Run, Fruit Ninja, Angry Birds games, Flappy Bird, Geometry Dash, Cut the rope, etc.

Reminds me of one good memory, when one of my bullies got angry at me for having a newer and bigger phone than his. (He managed to get one 2 weeks later though)
