How do they spend their anniversary?

Oooooo this is such a good question! Cause it vastly depends on what part of the timeline we're on.

Early on in their relationship? (year 1-3) They don't even acknowledge it. Link asks Revali about it a month in advance and gives him a panic attack, so after that they kind don't talk about it. But after year 3 they kind of start to celebrate more. Revali's been going to therapy more and wanting to do actual relationship stuff. So they start doing proper dates and celebrating Valentine's, the like. So around the 3-4 year mark, the do mild stuff. Sitting at home, smoking weed, gaming, (sex), maybe some takeout. Very relaxed.

But after the 4 ish year mark Revali really wants to start going all out. Taking Link on fancy dinners and stuff. So he makes their anniversary a big deal. They decide together a restaurant to go to and then usually some kind of event. Dress up. The whole nine-yards. Unless they're feeling really tired (cause at this point they have a kid), sometimes they just sit at home and she's out with one of the other champions. So they literally just enjoy a quiet apartment to themselves. Usually Link would make something for dinner and they just lay on the floor.

I just think this is such an interesting question because Link very much enjoys the "let me spoil you" aspect to the relationship. He likes memorizing important days and doing something meaningful. But Revali gets so stressed about any outward acknowledgement of their relationship that he just kinda lets himself forget to do that stuff. But then later it becomes super meaningful to Vali to do that stuff together so Link has to reboot his brain back into doing it again. Idk it's just fun to think about how their relationship changes over time! This was such a great ask!

Long Ride Home [ Open Mod!AU ]

The train ride to Leonster is a long one. Arion and Leif had both offered to charter her a private jet, but she had denied. If she’d wanted to take a plane, she’d fly it herself. Besides, she had been losing sleep lately and figured that a twelve-hour train ride to Leonster would help fix that.

Of course, she hadn’t been counting on the people sitting behind her having a crying newborn. She pushes her earbuds into her ears as hard as she can, but nothing works, and eventually she gives up, leaning her head back and staring up at the ceiling.

She pulls at her scarf that she bought just for visits to Leonster during cold times and then checks her phone. All she gets is the time - 10:11 AM - and a picture of a flower field in southern Thracia - her lock screen. No messages or any missed calls.

Altena sighs again before pulling out her earbuds and shoving them into her pocket. She glances around before leaning in to talk to the person beside her, the one sitting squished between the aisle seat and the window seat.

“Why are you headed to Leonster?” she asks in an attempt to make small talk.

canonically Urbosa & Daruk met going on a blind date, they (obviously) didn’t end up going out but they had good times together so they kept being friends instead! where as Link & Daruk met at work (they’re both line cooks). Revali & Mipha bond over her love of horror movies and though Revali is more of a pussy about it he can enjoy some good gore. I genuinely don’t know what is going on in the last pic, we’ll just assume Zelda’s dad texted her and the boys are trying to emotionally support her or something
