So what did y'all hate about Season 3?
Hate is a strong word. I mean, when I first saw it I absolutely used the word hate but after calming down I can still say it’s bad but I don’t hate it. It had a lot of elements that were great and I’d say about 60% of the time I enjoyed it and was having fun.
While Sypha and Trevor’s story was cute, I didn’t really like that nothing became of it and the hamfisted and rushed ending to theirs
Alucards story was interesting but ultimately they wasted the potential with the ending. Though I did kind of like the ending implication that he’s becoming more and more like his father, the final shot mimicking the first shot of season 1. They didn’t really do anything to set up the twist either. They could have fixed that whole story line by showing some kind of impatience on the kids parts but they were nothing but appreciative the whole time, if not whiny.
My biggest issue was Hectors story. Hectors story was ultimately pointless, basically being a rehash if his situation with Carmilla except this time he at least got laid out of it. It makes Hector look stupid to come around so quickly and fall for the same tricks twice. Not to mention, it’s frustrating for the audience because we know what’s going to happen. You could cut Hectors story out and just skip to what happens after and it would basically be the same. We didn’t need it.
Now I actually loved Isaacs story. He grew as a person and made remarkable progrsss towards his goal while learning along the way that while humans are detestable they aren’t all bad, a parallel to the other stories in which every other character learned they can’t trust people sometimes. I did like that and appreciate what they tried to do with it. Isaacs plot was the only one I 100% loved
