First of all, we want to send you lots and lots and lots of camelove for sending this ask. Second, we want to apologise for taking almost 8 months to respond to it. We had actually written a response barely 24 hours after it was in our inbox, but somehow along the way we forgot to hit the "post" button.... and now here we are.

So, in the unlikely chance you see this, here is our original answer to the ask!

Thank you for your kind words! We still live in our Camelove discord server, which has a riverboat for Mod Rumi to go spiral on, as well as an #asks channel. So one of our mods’ day quite literally started with reading your ask in there when you sent it. Warmed our hearts! ...Well, it took that specific mod another hour and three cups of coffee to process the ask but then: WARM! (Mod Bé, it was Mod Bé, who else!?) We have joked about “next Camelove” more often than we can count. At this point, nothing has been decided, but we all said (except for Mod Effie, she’ll get back to us when the internet connection gets better on Mars) that if we’re doing it again, it’ll be the four of us together or we won’t do it at all!

Since then, many months have passed and real life has evolved as it's meant to evolve. Currently, only two mods are available to run Camelove (we’re still waiting on Mod Effie’s Mars message though - so it might be three!), but we’ve decided that even if we only have half of the brain cell present, we want to hold Camelove again both for ourselves and for the people who showed us their support last year. Take it as our gift to everyone!  

As you can see, we've changed up the blog a bit and we're still in the process of editing. For now, just stay tuned. Announcements are coming up in less than 24 hours!

The response we’ve gotten to our event has been an absolute wonder. This started as a joke between friends about how we’d love to see more Gwapple Rarepair content on our dashes and ended up becoming this magnificent whirlwind of puns, friendship and… love.

We can’t thank you guys enough for spreading the word about our event, for the endless amounts of positivity we’ve received so far and for being the kind of warm and precious people who have kept this fandom alive for so many years.

Don’t forget to show some of the kindness and positivity you’ve shown us, to the content creators who participate in our event, as well! Thank you so much for your kind words! We can’t begin to tell you how much they mean to us. But you know what they say... The more the merrier! We couldn’t have done this without all of you wonderful people showing your love to Camelot’s lads and ladies. First time event organisers like us... we never would have thought this would turn into the crazy week it’s been so far! Working together with the other mods has been great, too. It’s good to know you have someone who’s always by your side, you know! (You don’t even want to know how often Mod Rumi has had to come to the rescue. She’s my personal Knight in shining armour, but don’t tell her!) 

Calling this week a frenzy was definitely right! “Wait... What? It’s wedn- already Saturday!?” was the first thing I said this morning. Actually no, that’s a lie. I stubbed my toe and cursed. 😅 But that’s pretty fitting for this event, too, I suppose!

We’ll miss you, too!  Only a month before we’re back to our Camelove free days. But don’t worry! There are many more events for this fandom! At the moment, most of us are preparing ✨s t u f f✨ for@merthurweek2021! We are also participating in @merlinbingo and mod Bé is working hard on her @merthurglompfest fic! Hi! I checked your faqs for answers about late submissions but I’m still kinda confused. (Sorry in advance for how I’m about to ramble cuz idk how to get my point across in few words 😬) but anyway I saw in the asks about late submissions that we have until March 14th for late submissions under the camelove2021completionist tag but what if I just wanna post for like one or two of the days and I’m late on those? Is there something different I should be tagging them under? Or would you guys still be checking the tags for days that have already past and I should tag my post under the normal tagging guidelines? Or can I wait until the free day to post my submission or is the free day for posts unrelated to the previous themes? Again I’m sorry this is long and the questions probably sound kinda dumb but I really would like to be a part of this event and I’ve been kinda busy so I haven’t had a chance to yet :/

We’ll be reblogging everything that gets posted with #Camelove2021 up until the end of the 14th of February for anyone celebrating Camelove with us from the Swains Islands (UTC-11 is the latest inhabited time zone, who knew!).

Anything that’s posted during the event will be reblogged regardless of the day you post it on. So if you end up running late (Like me, but don’t tell anyone), and post something for “Day 1: Ladies first” today, it’s okay! We prefer seeing more Camelove posts than less, so please please please share them with the world! 

Then, between Feb 14 and March 14, we’ll be checking the Completionist tag for your masterposts and make sure those find their way onto our blog! Do we have a small surprise for everyone who becomes a Camelove Completionist? ... Maybe. 

For every entry that’s posted late, so after Feb 14, we’ve decided not to promise to reblog them, just in case real life gets in the way and we can’t track the tag for whatever reason. This week so far has been amazing, but I won’t lie, it’s been pretty intense, too, which is why we’re not making any promises unless we’re sure we can keep them! We will, however, keep checking the tag for pure self-indulgent purposes and the chances of late contributions being reblogged are extremely pretty high, so we definitely suggest to use the tag, even after the event!

Right, I'm having a brain malfunction rn and can't find anything to actually tell me the answer, so you were the first blog I thought of (it kinda concerns my writing for day two of Camelove) what is the emblem that Cenred's army have on their armour? I thought it was a snake or something but not sure, would really appreciate it if you could tell me! 💜

Okay so, here we go!

Can I just say I’m really happy you’ll be writing about Cenred? I can. And I will. Tom Ellis is a god and he portrayed that character perfectly!

So.. episode 3x02 has three different groups associated with our godlike human being bad boy Cenred. Did I just fire up that episode for you, Anon? Yes. Yes I did..

First at 14:40 we see his extremely sour-faced private guard. They wear dark gray tabards with a silver crest that has a black snake on them. I found this picture on IMDb:

Then around 23:55 we see: more of his private guard, with the black snake on the silver background (It’s a bit clearer there and you can see the snake’s head points to the left, I also just noticed there are small silver dots on these snakes by the way. Heh. The more you know!) then you see the actual army he promised would arrive by nightfall. They’re a bunch of hooded/masked figures in dark leather who don’t seem to wear any emblems (we see these in the castle of Fyrien too, by the way. That was the first episode I checked). And then there’s also Morgause’s boys with their black outfits with the red Rowan tree!

So... Your ask led to some very enthusiastic Googling on my end. I found out the Thermae Bath Spa has two natural thermal baths (And in- and outdoor pools, an ice chamber, two aromatic steam rooms, and infrared sauna and a celestial relaxation room. Plus a cafe, three relaxation areas and 27 spa treatment rooms.... ) 

So luxurious... Just look! 🤩

Turns out this world heritage site has been around since the Roman Empire, which means even a canon era spa day is possible, too! I feel like they should have had one, cause, let’s face it, not everyone has a magical manservant to keep their bathwater nice and warm for hours on end.

I also found out one of the sources is called the King's Spring, near the River Avon. And no you cannot convince me this has nothing to do with lake Avalon. Sounds like the perfect place for a modern day immortal Sir Leon to go to whenever he misses Camelot too much... I do believe our dear Leon remembers those times Arthur was in need of a bath whenever he goes there!

In short, Anon, I could not agree more. Our boy deserves an all expenses paid weekend over there. And so far, there’s only one fic on AO3 that has both our boy Leon and the Spa Treatments tag. We need to fix this!

Tagging trigger warnings is never easy, especially since you don’t know what will be a trigger to others. Many people on Tumblr have certain tags blocked for subjects that make them uncomfortable. When you choose to tag your posts using those topics, they’re called trigger warnings. This ensures the post won’t show up on their dashes. 

If you feel you’re creating  sensitive content, we recommend you tag it. It’s quite possible, however, that you don't, in which case you can simply skip tagging trigger warnings. Overall, we would advise you to tag anything that you feel might be a sensitive subject to others. (Common examples are fics or images containing violence, gore, blood, major character death, mental illness,..., as you can see I’ve tagged those!)
