As some of you are aware, the MCYT Alphabet Challenge will be taking place again in the month of April, 2026! We will have more information/interest checks/sign-ups rolling out over the next couple weeks, so stay tuned, and happy creating!

AND THAT'S A WRAP...

The MCYT Alphabet Challenge has officially ended! Congratulations to our winners, Team Larkspurs! And thanks so much to everyone who participated at all, we had a blast!

There were 85+ submissions and over 150+ comments! Combined, all three teams scored a total of 6,873 points!! Great job!

Final scores/more specific numbers are underneath the cut. See you all next time!

🥉 Hemlocks with 1691 points!!

In second place we have...

🥈 Foxgloves with 2145 points!!

And finally, taking first place we have...

🥇 Larkspurs with 3037 points!!

Additionally, Larkspurs won both longest fic and comment count, so great job to them!!

Will there be an update to the point system this time around? It was kinda frustrating last time

Hi there anon! While you're correct in saying there was a lot of confusion last year, the mod team has reviewed the current scoring system, and we believe it's fair and up-to-date! Sorry for the inconvenience, but currently, there are no plans for the points system to be revised. We encourage you to read it again, and if you're still unsatisfied, please reach out to me ( @bluetbluish ) via tumblr DM and I'll be happy to handle any concerns you may have!
