She's Akimichi, they change depending on the amount of chakra they've reserved or spent during a mission.

I’m aware. I’m talking about the people who deliberately draw her as a skinnier girl when she’s not utilizing her chakra. There’s no reason to make her skinny otherwise. 

Claiming that an artist knows about the Akimichi clan, but still repeatedly draws a skinny Chocho in a casual situations doesn’t excuse them from drawing her as fat. //Mod Boruto//

That's the thing that is in question. Apparently, no one is sure if he adopted only Shinki or all three of the kids. The way it is worded in the manga has people confused.

Ahhh well that’s annoying :/ I hope we get a more clear answer, I’d rather Gaara had adopted them all lol.
