I've been wanting to revamp Yodo's look for awhile. First, I got rid of the pants with the (waistband?) straps. Then I added a spiky choker and chainmail undertop--- I liked the way genin Temari layered her outfit, particularly the headband on her neck, so that's partial inspiration.

Yodo gives me a mid 2000s punk-pop vibe like Avril Lavigne, so I added an iPod nano (she collects retro electronics and music players).

I was pretty faithful with Shinki and Araya's design (I like that all the team members have jackets with the woven cuffs). Araya has a beige jacket with blue lining and a blue belt, Shinki has a dark jacket with red lining and a red belt, Yodo has a yellow belt (primary color trio).

Cliff Notes for Boruto TBV Chapter 19

Ikemoto wrote a more emotionally nuanced love triangle among Team Shinki in 3 pages than he did for the last 5 chapters of Sarada-Sumire-Boruto nonsense.

Konohamaru has zero sense of self-preservation. Even when he’s about to be eaten by a yandere plant alien, he won’t let anyone else but Moegi call him Konohamaru-chan.

Sarada’s squad has a good fight with Ryu. All of the non-protagonists get a chance to shine. Although Sarada’s Chidori and Mitsuki’s sage mode are much more visually impressive than Yodo’s ability to …hear sand grains rubbing.

Also isn’t this the first time Mitsuki has used his sage mode in public? Is anyone going to…react to that? Or has the power scaling gotten so skewed that it’s no longer worth mentioning?

Meanwhile, Jura holds an impromptu philosophy seminar among his fellow tree people on the mysterious phenomenon called love.

Were Yodo, Araya, and Shinki adopted at the same time?

Shinki: Yes. The three of us had chosen each other as family since we met in the orphanage, around a year before Yodo lashed out at some bullies during a routine visit from the Kazekage, which lead to her catching his attention, and later meeting us for the first time in the aftermath.

Sidenote: This AU diverges from canon long before Gaara adopted his kids. He met them though different circumstances, much earlier than in canon as this story is based on 'Breaking The Cycle,' a fanfic that an old friend of mine wrote based on our joined headcanons, which is my favourite fanfic of all time <3]
