the kissmas readers were in favor of caroline when she exploded against uni, because of doom

but everything went to hell when carrie said "I ALWAYS LIKED YOU!!!!!!!!!" like a wattpad bully lover cliché. thats where everything died. the narrative went in favor now of the fuckass ships and left logic behind

that's mostly the entirety of why i hate carroom so much, Anon. i genuinely dislike generic cliche's like that.

the entire idea of an abuser dating or even remotely liking the person they abused is a fucking mess, man. even if Caroline has actually abused Doom in return, it's so fucking messy. like why does every character have to have dynamics, caroline and doom could've literally just been "I FUCKING HATE YOU!!!11!11!" instead of "omg i hate you but like....wow...ily...." like what the fuck? kisswas in it's entirety (in my personal opinion) was a big mistake. i'm CONVINCED kittycorn is just writing in favor of kits ships. i get narrative around barruni or some shit (or even doomry) but NONE of sparklecare had to have story written entirely around just ships and "hahaaaaa LOOOKKKK!!! they're KISSINGG!!!!" i hate it. genuinely, how could Caroline like Doom when they've purposefully dumped vomit on Doom's head, scolded Doom for sometimes zero reason, and continuously insulted Doom to feel better about herself? and again, Doom is also afraid of Caroline even as their abuser. so therefore, the ship makes absolutely NO SENSE! it throws ALL logic and ALL character building OUT THE FUCKING WINDOW. where did the trauma go. where did the proper writing go. fuck the shipping logic i hate it so much, it only tells the reader that the writer kitself doesn't understand how romance actually works. Kittycorn, please read a romance novel.

Mod Carrie, Uni, Doom or any other mods, do you perhaps have anything to say about the Kisswas comic? (Personally Caroom feels forced there + another crit blog pointed out how Uni said wrong things, so I just wanted to know what you think /gen)

i just finished reading the kissmas and what the shit throughout this entire comic uni pressures carrie into inviting over doom (who remember) was an abuser to carrie and carrie abused him back (vomit bucket scene) and carrie being uncomfortable for the entire comic is framed as them being jealous and trying to isolate uni from being polyamorous and at one point uni goes "Why is it ok for you To be with other people like Jay or Kiki but I'm not allowed to be with Doom?" but the polyamory isnt the fucking issue the issue was (by the comics logic of metaphors) doom being an abuser and uni is a bitch throughout this entire thing calling carrie jealous telling doom that 'carrie just need to get over herself' and appearantly forgot to mention that this kissmas party only had carrie and doom the most troublesome pair and then when she starts fucking flirting and hugging carries abuser and carries upset uni acts all fucking surprised and in the end it all works out for this fucking 'precious cinnamon roll bun' uni even tho she made both her partners uncomfortable mocked carrie and then the comic ends with a fucking kiss between carrie and doom with the bs 'oh ive always cared for and like you' bitch does throwing vomit on your crush scream 'i love you take me away in a fucking bridal carry and make out with me sloppy style then fuck me in bed' cuz it sure as shit doesnt scream that to me and over all it felt really rushed for the relationship going straight from hate to kissing and blaming it all on carrie for being a jealous witch - uni

talking from someone who kindof connected and has Carrie as a small comfort character, kissmas did NOT feel right at the slightest. for example how Uni was constantly mocking Carrie for being uncomfortable with their abuser like wtaf??? and the fact that caroom was all just "oohhh I always loved you!" no the fuck you didn't. (at least carrie didn't.) does lashing out and throwing a whole bucket of Barry's vomit scream "I LOVE YOU"??? it really doesn't the whole idea of all the relationships between all the characters just feels so unorganized and so, SO messy. like why the FUCK does it end with Carrie always going "oh uni is precious she does no wrong!!!" wasn't there a whole volume where Uni literally did so much shit wrong? even including the entirety of Uni's dialogue towards Carrie and how Uni even made Carrie's current partners uncomfortable. (this is mostly agreeing with Mod Uni) - 📎

I think the events in Kisswas happened choppily and honestly Carrie was VERY reasonable to not want their girlfriend talking to their abuser or inviting him over??!?!!🙀 also the fact that Uni had to push Carrie to even agree with Doom coming over is a RED FLAG pushing is not a staple in consent!! very weird? -🧁

uni is the biggest idiot in the entire comic. forcing caroline who clearly didn't want to be around doom to interact with skull is one of the worst things she could've done. and of COURSE there was a sex joke shoehorned in; it wouldn't be a sparklecare original without it, right? not to mention how rushed it feels. -mod hemera UNI ABSOLUTELY WOULD NOT GUILTTRIP CAROLINE THE WAY SHE DID IN KISSWAS. YOU'D THINK FROM HER TIME WITH BARRY SHE'D START TO UNDERSTAND WHAT BOUNDARIES ARE BUT NNNNOOOO!!! "SORRY CAROLINE BUT I NEED TO DISRESPECT YOUR BOUNDARIES AND LET DOOM COME OVER ANYWAYS DESPITE BOTH OF YOU GUYS DISCOMFORT!!!" YOU SEE HOW MUCH OF A DICK MOVE THAT SOUNDS?? Hi sfrj crew! I know people can have their own opinions on the age restriction, but I’m kind of upset about it. I had plans for a Sparklecare Fallout AU and now I’m not sure if I should make it because of potential backlash from the fandom, since I’m a minor.

to be honest there's really no harm in making your own AU in private. thing is, you'd just have to wait until you're 18 or over to share your ideas with the public. you just have to be patient and respectful of the rule, even if KC can't really control whether or not you view the media. you just can't interact. Kittycorn having this rule gives kit space to breathe! which in my opinion is good for her. just try not interacting with the media and you'll be fine! i do hope this clears up bummed out thoughts, dude! have fun with your work!

hey mods, whats the ship that you most hate or dislike? caroom, hemeruni, what ships?

I am stuck between two choices, the first is rather obvious. Carroom is a ship that is abuser x abuser and the entirety of kisswas "I loved him too" reveal came from the depths of Tartarus as it was new showed nor even implied once, in fact quite the opposite was implied before so It is completely an enigma where this ship came from and even more a mystery why KC though they would be a good pair. The second choice though is a bit more, controversial and much less obvious though. That being Barruni, allow me to explain. Uni has shown on multiple occasions that she does not respect Barry's boundaries about magic and even actively seems to intentionally use magic in front of him on occasions despite knowing that he dislikes her use of it, Uni has gotten away with far too much for me to believe that Barry would still actively engage in a proper relationship with her after all of this. I also fear that after all of this, KC wont even know how to do Barruni that well without horribly mischaracterizing them on both ends in a way that leaves all of their previous personality traits behind and just makes them previous husks of their former self. personally, i don't have one ship i hate. it's a whole genre of ships - anything with side characters in it. on the wayback machine, on the faq for the site, we're told some of the official ships are kills x shortnick, jean x orange, and caroline x kiki. but (obviously except for caroline), what do we know about these characters in order to ship them? we know maybe a sentence or two worth's of information about them! that's not enough!!! even with the more popular small ships that are also canon: mood x rem, pinata x funfetti, mel x cyn, jay x caroline... we get scraps of interaction and ship moments in the comic, if anything at all (seriously, jay x caroline? where is that coming from? they're two major characters but there's still nothing!) i wish characters were elaborated on more before they're shipped, which is also why i don't understand any ships with the chunklings. they've been here a while but we don't know anything about them. and yes, before anyone asks, this does apply to polly as well. they're a major comet parent, and yet... there's nothing actually there. -mod polly 🧊

theres no limits on what we can ship (as long its not cuddles), no matter how much people has murdered or tortured the patients

you see, that's what i don't understand, Anon. characters in sparklecare apparently ALL have a weird correlation with each other even when they've never interacted with each other in the first place. kittycorn seems to have a knack for shipping characters that have traumatic experiences from one another, much like caroline and doom (just as example). doom is caroline's abuser, and seen in kissmas, apparently caroline always liked doom ignoring the times caroline has shunned doom for their behavior. doom is AFRAID of caroline, as well. it's confusing to even see that there's absolutely no limit to the bounds of relationships no matter how much characters suffer from it. it's practically humiliating. i really hate how it works. especially how it works in cometcare. WHAT HAPPENED TO THE TRAUMA THE CHARACTERS HAVE? were they all just...evaporated from existence just for "haha look they kiss!!!!11"? miley and funfetti don't even work by the way, how the fuck would those two even get along. that's really just my whole hot take on the shipping logic, though.

hi everyone, i've heard the problem everyone's been having stressing over Mod Jay. i've learned that Mod Jay is an elaborate bit, one that began most likely a tiny bit after our blog. nobody had any intention to freak anybody out, nor did they ever want people frustrated over the reveal. all we ask as a group is to calm everyone down. it was never our intention for people to stress over our crit blog. please, take a breather. it's healthy for everyone here including our mods. you can still joke about mod jay, but please no stressing. it was all a bit. a prolonged bit. i will be managing the blog tonight, and most likely for a while depending on how long our mods decide to take a break. please take care of yourselves. i understand how overwhelming this must be considering notifications that have constantly gone off. for now, i would recommend stepping away from devices, napping, or even just silently doing something else any of you enjoy that disregards social media. taking breaks is a very important process even when being a smaller part of media, including the sparklecrit community. feel free to shoot me specifically, Mod Coughs (📎/🚬) a friendly message on discord with questions and concerns. i can't really say anything about their designs despite being pretty art savvy myself, unfortunately. i just wish everyone wasn't so BALD. it's like....idfk...like someone removed all the fur from an animal. but for designs in general i just wished they were fixed enough for at least the animal breed to be identifiable. i dunno i mostly agree with the above except in cc why is polly wearing heavy cotton(?) clothes like i know shes cold but think if someones gonna do the sopping wet thing he could try to get clothes that wouldnt soak up the condensation or at least a layer between the clothes and condensation of plastic for comfort yknow - uni
