This is my gemsona Onyx. Here’s his backstory: Onyx, much like his best friend, Amethyst, is a defective quartz soldier, only he was made in a Homeworld Kindergarten. After he emerged late, he was nearly shattered, but was saved by the off colors, and after Steven went back to Earth, Onyx soon followed and now lives in the barn with Lapis, Peridot, and Pumpkin. I just haven’t decided on what his weapon will be yet. I was thinking a sword, but I don’t know.

I think he looks amazing! A sword would be a great weapon for him!

I don't know if you guys watch markiplier but he has a friend named Tyler and I'm trying to make him a gemsona. What gem would be good for his personality? ( he's fairly serious but has a great sense of humour, set in his ways and desicions, unyielding, and very logic based

I don’t watch markiplier, and I’m guessing Tyler isn’t someone you know personally, in which case I really don’t feel comfortable answering this question, sorry.

Hi. I am having trouble making a weapon for my gemsona. I don't know what to do for her gem yet but she has her gem on her lower back. I thought of moving the gem, but I don't think it would work. Any thoughts for a weapon and ideas for a gem?

hmm, what about spikes or something similar, like a hedgehog? Jasper and Amethyst roll into a ball for a rushing attack, so your gem could do something similar with a more deadly element to it! She could also rely on her powers rather than a weapon, like an ability to manipulate the elements! Or maybe she can shapeshift her limbs into a weapon?

Otherwise, I think if the handle was long enough it wouldn’t necessarily make it harder for her to summon a handhold weapon like a sword or spear, if she’s quick enough (try reaching behind yourself to touch your back, it’s not too hard; especially given gems’ physical forms are a bit more flexible)!

I like sapphire, she's cute cause she's short but I wanted to make my sapphire taller, maybe a few inches taller than a pearl, would that be fine?

I don’t see why you couldn’t! 

Rubies so far have been shown to all been the same height, and since Rubies are just red Sapphires, you could take that to mean all Sapphires must be the height, but the show’s canon doesn’t need to be a strict guideline to making a gem, if you have a different idea.

If you do want to try to stick to canon though, you could make your Sapphire a perma-fusion of two or more Sapphires! That could be fun to play around with, especially how it would affect their future vision - would they be frequently disoriented and have trouble focusing on the present moment? Would they have stronger visions, or be able to make prophecies, or have a stronger grasp on different timelines and how to guide actions along to follow the desired timeline?

Either way, they’re ultimately your gem, and what you want to do with them is up to you; the world’s your oyster! :)
