You might have noticed that we've been inactive the last few Saturdays. Unfortunately life has been a lot for the mods of late and it's not been possible for us to keep up with SS 😔

But Sambucky Saturdays will continue after the New Year with themes going ahead as planned. If you'd still like to make posts following the themes before January, we would still love to see it, but forgive us if we're slow to reblog.

We would love some extra help over here to make Sambucky Saturdays the best they could be! If you're over 18 and interested in joining the mod team, we would love to have you. Low pressure & just giving as much time as you're able :) bonus points if you're able to make graphics or happy to make blog posts like this one, but if not, just your presence reblogging Sambucky posts on Saturdays would be great!

People are already pointing out that 男の娘 is a gender expression (which of course it is) but it's also a niche manga genre written for, about, and frequently by male crossdressers. You might as well pretend to be shocked and angry to find crossdressing in a story called "The Ballad of Polly Oliver".

(Side note, it's not uncommon for 男の娘 stories to pair the crossdresser with either a male or female love interest so the potential queerness is awesomely all over the map!)

I hate that antis have virtually eliminated problematic content in the spy x family fandom. I was promised a shit ton of weirdos shipping a 6 year old with another 6 year old and/or her adopted father but where is the fucking content! Just proves that antis will lie and lie and lie

i do tend to like indie games though, oxenfree is literally one of my favorite games ever (blatant plug play oxenfree you wont regret it)
