Is this pretty much just the MAP apologist's blog now?

This must be in response to something old because I had requested Vape not talk about this on the blog because it made me personally uncomfortable and was eating up everything on the blog. And I did a quick look though (I haven’t been all that active for personal reasons mainly being college and video games eating up my time) and I did not see anything dealing with MAPs.

So short answer: no.

Long answer: Two people run this blog. Two people who, while we are friends and do agree on many things, do not agree on everything. Thus, it would be unfair to both of us to label this blog, run by two different people from completely different parts of the world with different life experiences, as the same thing. Calling our blog a “MAP apologist blog” is doing that. And dealing with MAPs is something we do not see eye-to-eye on completely. We have our differences when it comes to MAPs and referring to this blog as such erases our difference in opinions.~Flareon

I’ve been battling intrusive thoughts for years. With them having been worse in the past year, I feel I should share some methods I use to combat them. How much they work varies depending on what thoughts surface. 

Hugging a stuffed animal

Playing an easy video game

Reading a beloved book

Talking to a friend

Watching a TV series

Watching a movie

Writing down the thought and ripping it to shreds

Eating a favorite snack

Putting on white noise that is relaxing

Reflection

Taking a hot shower

Doing something different

I have temporarily turned off anon on the blog. I spoke with Vape about it and he was completely okay with me doing this.

The reason I turned it off is because of the recent anons we have gotten. I just cannot shake the feeling that they are actually TERFs posing as trans individuals in an attempt to paint us as homophobic and lesbophobic. 

For the rest of the week, anon will be turned off. I shall turn it back on this Saturday. ~Flareon

anyone attracted to both sexes and both genitals is bi, please rethink your biphobia. there's no such thing as a "monosexual" attracted to both sexes and genitals. this is bi erasure and completely ignores why bi ppl go through something different than gay & straight ppl do. everyone isn't a little bit bi. bi, gay, monosexual, all have meanings.

I know this is in reference to the deal Vape is doing with trans and such. But I’m going to interject here for a minute to say this. 

If a monosexual gay man is dating a trans man, he is still monosexual gay.

If a monosexual straight woman is dating a trans man… she is still monosexual straight.

If a monosexual lesbian is dating a trans woman… she is still monosexual lesbian.

Yes, words have meanings. Which is why it is important to state this. Lesbians can, and do, get with trans women. This does not suddenly make them bisexual. Straight men can, and do, get with trans women. This does not magically make them bisexual as well. They’re still straight.

It is not biphobic to say this. In fact, it is biphobic, homophobic, and lesbophobic to say that a gay man who is dating a trans man is suddenly bisexual. Not only that but it is also transphobic. Well, lesbophobic if it was a lesbian I was talking about instead of a gay man. But my point stands.~Flareon
