Danganronpa 2 boys getting friend zoned (spoilers)

Hello there- so I recently just got rejected and friendzoned by a crush, and while I’m truthfully happy to stay friends I am slightly bummed so I decided I’ll take this experience and turn it into a write. I hope you enjoy!

Hajime

He has to take a long break from talking to them… but not for the reason you think

Truthfully he gets over the crush fairly quickly… but this rejection causes his self hatred to spring into his mind

“Of course they didn’t like you? Why would they like a talentless joke?”

After about a month of his friends helping him with his self hatred, he feels a bit better and starts talking to them again.

While there is a bit of awkwardness present that wasn’t there before… the friendship remains stable

Kazuichi

While they offer to still be friends, he still keeps going for a relationship

This is a mistake he can’t take back causing the friend to cut ties

He tries to work on himself after this, he doesn’t want to make these mistakes anymore… this friendship failed because of him

And he won’t let that happen again in the future

With the support of friends and family, the goal of bettering himself begins

Gundham

While he still loves them, he needs time to get over it

He talks with other friends more, hangs out with his hamsters more and takes more time for himself

He takes up new hobbies and meets new people becoming a overall more happy person

Overall this helped his life and made him more happy in the long term

And one day very soon the old crush will be a friend again

Teruteru

With Teruteru’s perverted nature you would be forgiven for expecting him to keep at it even after rejection. To peruse someone who has already stated there lack of interest

But honestly Teruteru handles rejection pretty well… I mean he’s kind of used to it by this point…

While Teruteru would be semi disappointed at another rejection, he accepts it and moves on fairly quickly

Typically remaining friends with his former crush if there willing to stay friends

(Side note: I head cannon Teruteru acts perverted since his mother wanted to see him with a love before she passed… and Teruteru never learned how to talk to girls properly since for most of his life, he has been in his family diner helping however he can)

Twogami

He’s for the most part ok with it, hiding most of his emotions

Because of this the friend can’t tell how they feel and are confused

This could lead to a rift in the friendship

Fuyuhiko

While he would try to stay friends he would become distant…

I think this would eventually end the friendship and they become awkward strangers

Quick side note regardless if they were friends with Peko before she would resent them for rejecting Fuyuhiko, not understanding how anyone would want to reject Fuyuhiko

Nekomaru

While I personally head cannon him as aromantic (having little to none romantic attraction) let’s disregard this head cannon for this write

He takes the news the best, resuming the friendship immediately without a hint of awkwardness

Overall the friendship remains the same

Nagito

“It’s my fault why they don’t love me”

That was the only logical explanation to nagito

The person he loved were perfect so it had to be him… there probably just pitying him by offering to stay friends…

He eventually cuts ties with his crush… although one day in the distant future… when he learns to let go of his self hatred

Maybe again they will be friends

Sorry for the inactivity, me and the few remaining mods are all really busy and stressed right now and a few mods left(including Mod shuichi so we don't know what to do)

Rantaro

Definitely a bit concerned about you accidentally hurting with your weapons but you reassured him you know what you're doing

He's also very fascinated about all the weapons you have

But also concerned for how you use them

One time, you and Rantaro decided to go a date to a new restaurant that opened

You accepted the offer and the both of you were on your way

While walking some man decided to walk up to you and start flirting with you

Rantaro was about to put an end to it but you interrupted them and held a combat knife towards the man and telling him to never interact or look at you ever again

Which quickly scared them off

Putting the knife away, you looked back to Rantaro who was in disbelief but then chuckled

"That's one way to stop them.."

The restaurant date went well

Shuichi

He's...nervous

Even with the reassurance that you won't hurt anyone he's still anxious

What if you accidentally cut your hand?

Shuichi knows you won't but you never know

He wanted to go out for a night walk which you gladly joined him to

Then someone decided to point a knife at the two of you

Shuichi immediately panicked but you remained calm and pulled a gun

"S/O?!"

Shuichi was scared where did you even get that gun from????

You pointed the gun directly in the guys face and told him to leave now

Which he did

So you went to check back on shuichi...who was in slight shock

You quickly took him home and made sure he was feeling safe after that

Kaito

This man isn't really concerned about the fact you have so many weapons

He honestly thinks it's really cool

Kaito decided to take you stargazing one night but something felt off

It felt like...you two were being followed

While on your way back a man came up and held you two at knife point

"What the hell?!"

Kaito yelled out but you quickly grabbed the man and held his own knife at him

"Listen you bastard..If you don't leave right now I'm gonna show you new cutting techniques"

You let him go and he ran off

Kaito then engulfed you in a hug

"Look at how badass my S/O is! I'm so lucky to have you"

So the first kiss will probably also be his confession

In his own Kokichi way 

Like you’ll just be walking in the halls

Than out of nowhere this 5′1 boy pins you to the wall

And after standing there being confused he kisses you

Asks if you like to date

Than run out

If you decide to take him up on his offer he so would just give you random pecks on the cheeks and lips

ESPECIALLY IN PUBLIC

However if you express that you don’t like the random kisses in public

He’ll stop

Doesn’t stop him from doing it in private

Making out is a lot more rare

Absolutely will do it in private during those rare moments he is genuinely trying to be sincere

Clumsy with it at first but he tries to be tender

Expect some tongue

Will also just cling onto like a koala the entire time.

In terms of just a kiss he very teasing and playful about it

However during makeouts he tries his best and is being genuine and showing his real love for you 

Nagito

In terms of the first kiss Nagito is the direct opposite

You two will have to be in a relationship for quite a bit

Even then he is nervous of his lips touching his S/O so you have to initiate it yourself

He’ll definitely be surprised and want to back out

Please pull him back in to assure him it is ok and you want this

He’ll lean into it and he is very tender

Wants to make sure you are comfortable since for him you ALWAYS come first

After this he still won’t initiate it, but will lean into it the first time 

Also any kisses in public will kill him

He secretly ADORES PDA

After a bit more time in the relationship when you two cuddle he will kiss your forehead every cuddle session NO EXCEPTIONS

When making out he is very tender and tries to make sure you’re ok

Hugs like Kokichi, but unlike Kokichi he tries to do a more protection hug?

Like he just tries to make you feel safe in his arms

Somehow his are super soft and chapped at the same time

Probably something to do with his luck

He isn’t the best on initiating so especially earlier on in the relationship you will need to do that for him

But after a while he gets used to it and might rarely do it himself
