Mod Introductions

Hi Y'all, it's Mod Jas!

Wanted to go ahead and start introductions for this blog since it was my idea. The Spiderverse AU was actually Mod Orange's idea after we saw Into the Spiderverse because that year she'd just gotten be into BTS and it was Festa, so there was a lot of brain juices going a mile a minute lol.

My initial work with this project was just suit designs, which I will eventually get out to y'all, but then started to beta read and the write some bits and pieces here and there. I stated it in our AO3 work for the database that I will be doing most of the writing this time, as Orange and I are both in our final year of college. She's got two semesters, and I only have one, but her load this Fall is a lot harder than mine, so I get to do a lot of the grunt work.

Could I have some headcanons for Tendou with a childhood friend? whether develops into something romantic or not is up to you.

Tendou and his childhood friend (C/F) would often have playdates, with them reading their favourite book and him having his nose deep in the latest Shounen Jump

He would eventually get his C/F into Shounen Jump, letting them borrow his copies, and happily answered all the questions they’d have

C/F: What was that?! That came outta nowhere!

Tendou: No! It came from LOVE and FRIENDSHIP!

…and there were lots of those moments

Whenever his C/F was down, Tendou would pose like his favourite Shounen hero, saying a cheesy line to cheer them up (or anger them out of their sadness)

At the start of middle school, Tendou and C/F are no longer friends. Everyone insisted he was a freak, and C/F gave into peer pressure, opting for popularity. They get into their own things, but find each other again in high school

Tendou was always pretty confident in himself – the cheeky turd – but the C/F not so much, which is something they always admired/hated about him

C/F has a falling out with their so-called friends

Tendou: And they call me a monster

Tendou is there at his C/F’s lowest moment, with no other judgement or scolding, Tendou posed like one of those heroes they had liked in their youth, and announced a cheesy line, expecting a punch or sigh of disapproval, but he’s met with a smile

C/F: I don’t want to be someone I’m not ever again. But I also refuse to be you.

Tendou: I refuse your refusal.

C/F: No One Piece quotes!

Tendou: You’re never gonna be alone, my nakama!

…and those moments continued to continue~

the grumps helped me through a really hard time in my life by giving me something to be happy and laugh about. it's been a year since i started watching and i've not improved 100%, but i'm getting there, and they make it much easier for me to be happy! i really hope that one day i'll be able to meet and thank them all and tell them how much i appreciate them for doing what they do.
