Those black lines (streaks) on Gary's face, is it leaking oil or cracks? What is this?

And how did you come up with the idea of making him an ads cyborg?
I'm not the person to ask for question one, that's for @cattpup5 (Mod Jello) BUT the idea was Jello's! They kept reading off ads on screen and said "I'm Gary! The Mormon who advertises!" and we all thought it was funny and actively searched for ads to put in the script. From what I remember, the "Big Bill Hell's" one was my doing
