Recluse and Hermit flags These can be called Pride Flags. I personally am not doing so as I don't want anything started in the comments, nor on other sites. "Recluse" and "Hermit" are both terms that can be used to describe someone who lives a solitary life. While by definition, Hermits do so out of religion and Recluses do so out of personal choice, both terms are used interchangeably by many. These are flags for those who choose to call themselves Recluses or Hermits, for whatever reason they choose. These are made with neurodivergent folks in mind, and are intended to be used by them, these can be used by anyone. Someone might be a recluse/hermit for many reasons. The main one these flags represent are those who isolate due to neurodivergency. Some neurodivergences that would cause one to be a recluse/hermit include: Social Anxiety/Social Anxiety Disorder Schizoid Personality Disorder Avoidant Personality Disorder Schizotypal Personality Disorder Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder Autism/Autism Spectrum Disorder Depression Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder Those who label themselves as Recluses/Hermits may do so out of feeling the term is correct, wanting to reclaim a term used against them, out of spite, or anything else NOTE: Recluse and Hermit are not slurs. They can be used pejoratively against those who live solitary lives, however they are not slurs. These are made by me, someone who lives a solitary life. I've been called a "hermit" quite a few times by family. I'm a recluse because I am neurodivergent. I find comfort in calling myself a recluse. Hopefully others who do as well like these flags! The colours are just colours I associated with each words. The symbol represents solitude. The flags can be used interchangeably (so the recluse flag can be used by hermits, and the hermit flag can be used be recluses)
