YTTD CHAPTER 3-1 PART A (CHARACTER) SPOILERS

also a/n: this is far from canon, I just wanted something on this blog

In the mind of Kanna Kizuchi, voices were normal. Of course, she never meant a living person’s voices. Far from that, really.

Kanna had met this girl, Maple, who seemed to be like an imaginary friend. Maple looked like she was just a human teenager dressed as a pancake, hence why Kanna named her Maple.

Maple spoke to Kanna often, offering advice on what Kanna should do with her life.

Kanna thought this was helpful. That this imaginary girl was right.

In truth, Kanna learnt when she was more mature, the Maple girl was trying to lead her down a wrong path. Something that would never, ever leave Kanna alone.

So Kanna screamed.

She cried. She sobbed. She tried to block out Maple’s stupid advice, she tried to ignore Maple saying that Kanna was a sister killer—

“KANNA CAN’T TAKE THIS ANYMORE…!!!

You… Maple… You’ve been talking to Kanna nonstop, leading her on the wrong paths and… and that stops today!”

Kanna stood up, and punched her wall, as if trying to make the imaginary person shut up.

Surprisingly, the voice quieted down.  The only thing one could hear in the room was Kanna’s quiet sobs, and the noises of her bucket falling onto the floor beneath her.

A few seconds later, Kanna realized something.

It was not a wall that she had punched.

No, she had punched a mirror.

The shards were everywhere, but all Kanna could do at this point was smile.  She then proceeded to chuckle, hoping the now physical pain would go away.

Of course, all wounds take time to heal. But Kanna felt this one would take less the amount of time than the usual ones.
