The Time Has Come

Goooood evening everyone! Mod Modi here with some long-awaited updates!

We will be prepared to release our roster for Jokiku District on Wednesday, April 11th, at Noon EST! Following the release of the roster, we will be reblogging promotion posts from various groups around the community! So, if you know of any up-and-coming groups, shoot us a message with a link to the promo!

Also, following the release of the roster, the mods will need to take another week or so to finalize some important planning processes before the start of our game! As such, we won’t have the time or resources to do any post-roster feedback on apps. So, accepted players can use that time to get their blogs in order and even do a little pre-gaming, if they so choose, while we’re busy plotting!

And once again, we were absolutely blown away by the strong show of support and enthusiasm from our applicants. We hope that, for those who didn’t quite make it in, you don’t feel discouraged. We had a lot of very tough choices to make, and not being on the roster for us doesn’t say anything about your skills as a writer, creator, or RPer. Keep putting yourself out there and keep trying! We loved reading through all of your apps, and we’re confident that any of them would do great in another group! It came right down to the wire, in many cases.

Thank you again for all of your support and positivity! We sincerely hope that you have fun playing in or spectating Jokiku District. See you soon for the big roster drop!

Mod Announcement!

Just a small announcement! We have added a mini-mod to our small group of overlords.

Jirdan will now be a mini-mod, mainly here to assist in-game with post writing and Gacha prizes, and out of game to keep an eye on the chat!

I really like ACD and am hyped for this game but I hope you guys consider reformatting the app a bit because at the moment it’s not very ADHD friendly. (By this I just mean using bold or spacing out stuff mor) sorry if this seems rude as this isn’t my intent but it holds back people from being able to participate

Thank you for the suggestion! We hadn’t even considered that possibility, so I appreciate you bringing it up! I am currently away from my computer, but rest assured that the format will be altered to be more reasonably bolded and spaced out once I am able to get home.

This is public and I'm not apping, but from one mod to another I gotta say I appreciate the "steamy" trick you put at the bottom of the rules. I'll have to remember that for the future, really smart idea.

That was all Baguette’s idea. We did a similar thing in Akedo City, and we were quite happy with how it worked out. Thank you for that, we hope it works out for you as well!

The Roster is Approaching

Good morning (or for some of you, Afternoon or Evening)! The roster will be posted fairly soon, and I want to just take a moment to leave you all with a message before it goes up.

I know many of you are stressed or worried about whether or not you’ll get in. Some of you were avid followers of Akedo, or even participants in Akedo, and many more of you just discovered us for the first time! You all put a great deal of time, effort, and love into your apps, and as we read through them all, that fact was made abundantly clear. Deciding on a roster was a difficult task because of how many fascinating talents, unique backstories, and overall awesome characters we saw. But with nearly 70 applicants, there was no way we could accept them all. Some of our  decisions came down to a simple majority vote, or a matter of compromise, and if it wouldn’t impede on the overall quality of the game, we would have likely tried to accept a lot more of you into the roster. Let’s be honest, though, a roster of 30 would have just been far too much.

With that being said, we’re all extremely happy and excited for the roster we’ve chosen, and we hope you’re all excited as well! Even if you don’t make it in, don’t be discouraged. Your characters truly are wonderful, and your love and dedication to them is obvious. Keep creating, keep writing, and do your best to have fun wherever your RP takes you! Take those awesome characters and try to get them into another group, and we hope that you’ll still stick around and watch the story of Jokiku District develop anyways! Thank you all so much for your excitement, encouragement, and support. We sincerely hope that we can do our job as mods and bring you an entertaining story to be remembered, and we sincerely hope that, even if you didn’t quite make it here, that you had fun and maybe even met a few new people through the application process.

Once again, a brief reminder that we will not be participating in post-roster feedback, as we will have a great deal of planning and other mod work to do following the release of our roster. We will, however, be willing to post promotions for other groups provided we are linked to a promotion post. We encourage anyone who is searching for a good group RP experience to check them out!
