SU anon again. I personally think Lars has one of the worst human designs. His head is almost a cube and his ears always looked off to me. Gem wise i might have to agree on Aquamarine. I think they were trying to go for "cute little creep" but she really does just look like an emoji head glued to a doll. Though I think Topaz looks pretty bad too

Honestly topaz took away my will to live, it looks like they drew a rectangle and then decided to make it a character. I also don’t like aquamarine too much, the design bothers me.

Also it seems that as the seasons have progressed all of the characters have turned increasingly neon.

what do you think about tracing as a practice method?

I think that you probably shouldn’t trace stuff no matter what, and you especially shouldn’t post traced stuff and try to claim it as your own.

I do think that tracing can be beneficial to beginners though, as it can help them to learn basic skills and techniques. When I was younger I used to trace pictures from drawing books, and that’s how I got my start with art.

So I’d say its fine for beginners, as long as they never claim the work to be their own and it’s only really good if you’re learning something from it.
