Criticism on this piece?
First of all, I appreciate the snek frend
Now the first thing I notice is that the whole picture looks kind of blurry because you overused the blur tool while highlighting/shading. The blur tool can make shading better when used right, but when used in excess it just makes the whole image look fuzzy. I would also suggest adding more detail to the background, like some patterns in the wood or adding more depth to the shelves behind the snekk.
As for the snake itself, Make sure that the body is curving naturally. The curve of the neck looks abrupt and too square and stiff, try to make the lines more dynamic and flow better (you can do this by using one hand movement for the whole line). Once again you overdid the blur tool in a few areas. You could also try to add some definition for some of the scales, because this would help make the piece look more finished and detailed.
I hope this helps and thanks for sharing your snekk friend :) I hope to see more art in the future!

Huh???????!!??!!
It looks like some kind of demon monkey + cat + puppet mixture. It’s either that or its mouth is about to fall off

may I have a critique on this? dankyuu
The first thing I notice is how much the eyes contrast with the rest of the body, you either need to make them less realistic, or make the rest of the body more realistic. Right now the hair looks like one massive blob, you should try to add more volume, shading and texture to make it look more like hair. Stuff that I would suggest is using a wider variety of colours, adding more shading and highlights and adding details such as individual pieces of hair. I also think you should add more folds to the cloths, make sure to follow the shape of the body and keep in mind what type of fabric it is/how tight it is/how heavy it is, which all affect the way fold look.
For shading, first make sure to pick which direction the light is coming from, and then shade based off that with varying darknesses depending on the area. Right now it looks like you’ve just shaded around the outside of the drawing, which isn’t how light acts irl. Also don’t be afraid to use bold and dark colours, as they can make your artwork look more aesthetically pleasing.
I personally don’t like the way that the blue of the shirt looks with the skin colour, but that’s just my personal taste. One thing you should change is the background colours as they make the whole thing look murky. The overall colour scheme doesn’t really look great, but i’m sure if you tweaked the saturations a little it could look fine.
The main things to work on are the hair and the shading. I like the way that you drew the nose and I think the piece has great potential!

what do you think about tracing as a practice method?
I think that you probably shouldn’t trace stuff no matter what, and you especially shouldn’t post traced stuff and try to claim it as your own.
I do think that tracing can be beneficial to beginners though, as it can help them to learn basic skills and techniques. When I was younger I used to trace pictures from drawing books, and that’s how I got my start with art.
So I’d say its fine for beginners, as long as they never claim the work to be their own and it’s only really good if you’re learning something from it.

have you seen the comic where there's one last FNAF hater, who's black, and this amalgamation of fnaf OCs ambles by and says it's time to die and the guys like "wait no I know FNAF isn't gay now!!!" not only does he turn white, all the dead haters behind him are black. but it turns out there's one last hater... one last hater in a ship in the sky who's also black. They're all stick figures minus the robot.
I haven’t seen it, but if anyone sends the link i will be eternally grateful
