Hey There Everyone Blog Update!

First things first: I'd like to give credit to @weirdozjunkary / @sonicexelle-junkary for my blogs header image It's one of the panel's from our joint project/au the COTH Au.

And I'd like to credit my friend jack/@clownsuu for my blogs icon! I had this dancing gif forever. And decided it would be a fun silly icon, since tumblr allows gifs to be icons now.

As you can see, I've updated my blog with a new description, a new icon, a new header image and I've changed my name!

I've come to realize, I needed a change I mean I've been space-cores-adventures since the beginning of my blog and I HAVEN'T roleplayed/been a space core ask blog in years!

So, I've rebranded and I'm now Moderator Monnie!

(It's Ironic because Monnie is a combination of the word mod and the name Bonnie, so lol double mod.)

But I'm also a mod for my own blogs and also the channel mod for Dyl In The Dark.

But don't worry things will stay the same here! no other changes just wanted to give my blog an update! Thanks for listening everyone :D

After my cat Willow died, I didn’t think I’d be ready to be a cat parent again so soon.

Yet, I found myself looking into kittens on multiple occasions. At first, when I found myself favoring female cats I realized I was searching for Willow in another cat. Expecting another cat to be exactly like Willow was not a mindset to adopt another cat with- if they wouldn’t behave like Willow, that might make me be disappointed in the kitty.

I needed to wait until I could love a cat for their own kitty personality. So I stopped looking.

A couple more weeks passed, and I was looking for kittens again. For years before Willow passed- probably around the time I lost her siblings- I watched the show My Cat From Hell and learned about new ways to be a cat parent. It might be too late to fix some of Willow’s learned behaviors, but I always thought when I’d get a cat again I’d do more

I wanted my next cat to be a black kitty- because so many black cats are overlooked because of superstition- and that they just go unnoticed in the shadows of kennels.

Remembering these things kinda reignited my desire for a cat again. I wanted to rescue a couple, and what better time when the hot summer weather makes shelters (or in this case, foster homes) overloaded with kittens?

Which brings me to today- my family’s adopting a pair of siblings. A black male and a female silver tabby. I hadn’t been sure of previous cats before, but when I saw their pictures, something told me that these were the kitties I was looking for.

When it was confirmed we’d get them I felt giddy- surely a sign that this was the right thing to do. :)

I’ll always love and miss Willow, like I have with my other cats over the years. But I feel ready for my family to expand. :)
