Novel Ask - Balan’s Looming Future

Nereus from Winx Club is a femboy! Requested by anonymous!
What would happen of one or some of the Tims hung out with Lance?
Those tims would probably end up turning into negati!
Prolonged exposure to Lance would most likely cause the tims to absorb copious amounts of negativity, even if not intentional on Lance’s behalf. The idea is cute, for sure, for Lance to be surrounded by a bunch of tims. But I also think they would simply morph into negati, or a tim version of a negati.
Fuzzy negati...
On the topic of tims becoming negati, Lance would surely adopt them all. I quite like the idea that all the negati are like a family for Lance.
What would be Lance's reaction to a visitor who prefers hanging out with him and his negeti more rather than balan and the tims. Not for any negative reason but because they find him cool?
Lance, quite honestly, may welcome this with a hint of confusion.
He’d probably find it interesting, curious even. Why would someone want to spend all their time with him when Balan exists, and is having a blast all the way over in the spotlight? It’s not meant to be a question based in weary, but rather in slight disbelief.
Lance is reclusive as shown by his actions in game, and usually keeps to himself. He’s not one to really... put himself out there naturally, unless in disguise or comfortable with the group he is around. Having someone approach him, completely of their own volition, might honestly flatter him but make him question as to why.
But who is Lance to judge? If they are more comfortable with the quiet, then he is happy to offer it! And, perhaps a negati companion, if requested!
What if Balan and Lance meet a magical girl visitor? (sorry for the dumb question)
Not a dumb question at all! Actually, it’s quite an interesting question, especially taking into account how diverse the magical girl scene is. However, because I can’t pin down exactly what type of magical girl you’re referring to, I’m going to be referring to a girl who just happens to have magical capabilities.
Magic, in and of itself, is such a broad spectrum that even the likes of Wonderworld has been graced by. Balan and Lance, specifically, are not strangers to the benefits of such abilities. They utilize them to run the theater, and keep things afloat when things go awry. Balan especially seems to rely on it to do much of anything, his performances and tricks fueled by the power he’d been given. Needless to say, not out of place for anyone in Wonderworld to witness any form of magic, regardless of the type or fancy.
Although, if someone were to come into the theater possessing abilities beyond human limitations, it may just surprise the maestros. Even shock them, perhaps, as it would’ve been such an interesting encounter. It may make them question as to why the girl’s heart is imbalanced in the first place, as magic has been used in the theater to fix such issues. Why couldn’t she easily use her own magic to help herself?
After all, Balan and Lance use magic on the daily to correct their mistakes. But, maybe, it’s an eye opener for the both of them that magic cannot solve all problems. And, with that taken into account, perhaps it could help them to realize that their magic is a gift, and that it should be cherished. Not used as an end all, be all fixer.
In regards to how they’d interact with a girl possessing magical capabilities, I think it would depend more on the actual magic she possesses. If it were a showy type of magic, like magic you’d expect from a magic show, I think Balan would want to almost take the girl under his wing to help her further those abilities. If the magic is more elemental, such as magic relating to water, Lance would be more interested due to it being a calmer, quieter form of magic.
It’s mentioned that Lance can sense a person’s negative emotions. Can he still sense a Visitor’s negativity even the poor frightened Visitor was hiding from him?
Lance would absolutely be able to sense the negativity of someone hiding from them. It’s an innate sense, something they can latch onto easily and follow like a trail. This makes it incredibly easy for Lance to snuff out anyone who would attempt to hide from them. I would consider it similar to a scent trail, where Lance could literally smell their way to the negative energy. For what it would possibly smell like, burnt cedar and dew. Overall, a rather unpleasant scent to match an unpleasant feeling.
However, I don’t think Lance would actively pursue someone. Unless, they absolutely had too. If a visitor had hidden somewhere in the theater, possibly due to fear of the situation, pursuing them is one of the last things that Lance would want to do. If anything, that type of job falls more into the hands of Balan and the costumes. Lance would rather want to stay out of the way unless called to take care of it. After all, they might only aggravate the situation and cause unnecessary drama. It’s not like their outward appearance is settling.
And it’s not like Balan couldn’t take care of everything since he’s the one who often takes charge to get things accomplished. It really boils down to what Lance feels like doing in the specific situation.
Though, while we are on the topic of Lance sensing negativity, I can imagine it can be an overwhelming feeling to be able to sense it. Since so many people feel negativity in their lives, it would almost feel as if Lance were swept up in a sea of it. Never-ending, and unrelenting. It must take some seriously good self-restraint and control to be able to survive with such a talent. And perhaps, all that time as a negati being has trained their senses to be selective with what it chooses to acknowledge. But even so, the beginning of that process could not have been easy.
This is kinda tricky situation, but how would balan react to two visitors in wonderworld that were part of a love triangle? . One was brought there because they got their heart broken for liking the other person brought there, but the other likes someone in the real world but the person on the outside is betrothed to someone else. So they got there for liking someone they can't be with.
This is quite an interesting circumstance. Someone coming to Wonderworld for having their heart broken, but the person who broke their heart also comes in with them. Equally, said person who is the supposed ‘heart breaker’ comes to Wonderworld for being in love with someone who is unattainable. Well, this isn’t exactly a love triangle, but instead a Love Line. A typical love triangle consists of one person liking to other individuals, with conflict between the two interests finishing the triangle shape. This scenario fits more of a sequence of events than it would a love triangle, essentially creating a line of love/heartbreak, hence the term ‘Love Line’.
Now that it’s been established this is a love line, of course this would be something of interest to Balan. Not just for the conflict he’d need to resolve, but the drama of it all. Romantic situations, especially tension between two potential partners, seems like something Balan would binge like a late night soap opera. He’s a lover of dramatization, and a fanatic of flair.
Balan would absolutely fight Lance over the responsibility of who handles the situation, and would probably act as a mediator between the two inhabitants. Hearing out one situation, and applying that knowledge to the other. It wouldn’t be so out of place for Balan to try and establish connection between them. They may need to speak everything out and get thoughts left unsaid off their chest. Sure, they may not end up with each other, but at least they can come to a civil agreement with each other, and pursue other ventures in life.
Though, if they did end up with each other thanks to Balan’s meddling, well he certainly wouldn’t complain. Not only do they get to leave Wonderworld with a brighter view of the world, but they equally don’t have to be alone anymore. Regardless, both endings/scenarios are win/win situations.
