one big reason comp het shows up is bc women aren’t presented any altneratives other than loving men. after all this conditioning that men are the only option and should be the center of our lives, thinking about loving another gender seems fake and stupid. its not though!! 

you need to remind yourself that love between two women is just as real and important as straight love. read lesbian literature, befriend other lesbians irl or online, make your phone backround something gay, even change your computer password to something that makes you think of a woman you’e crushing on. do everything you can do constantly remind your subconscious that lesbian love is real and successful. if you aren’t getting those reminders at school, create them for yourself. 

it may sound corny, but being surrounded by happy lesbians and happy lesbian thoughts  really is the best cure for comp het. its the best way to prove to your subconscious that heterosexuality is not compulsory; its not the only path to love and happiness.
