Hot take, what Pebbles did was 100% his fault and Suns' fault was minimal. If you really want to stretch it you can blame on Grey Wind for snitching, or Moon's investigation or her last minute force communication, or benefactors raising him to be that way etc etc. But in the end he's the one who took the water too much and too quickly. I love him very much, let us respect he was the one who made his own bad decision. And ngl making SRS evil and weird reeks the same repulsive smell of "I fucked up and I need to blame someone else or it's my fault" from last year's callout posters.

Hot take maybe idk, but pebbles wasn't suicidal, his ultimate goal was to ascend and calling him that implies that ascension equals death, which i think we all can agree isn't true? I really hope that we have a general consensus on this one (please). His plan did involve essentially killing yourself, but it wasn't his goal, it was just a method he chose to achieve something else entirely, that being ascension.

Idk i just see people saying that what pebbles shouldn't have tried to execute his plan and I'm just. Why not? if he actually took his time he could've succeeded at best or fail and move on at worst.

i hate how downpour pebbles dialogue made him just blatantly insult the slugcat all the time. vanilla pebbles would not do that

We don't believe the iterators are suffering enough. So we here have decided to deprive all iterators of water, but give them just barely enough such that they don't completely collapse.

This completely destabilized the ecosystem, so to restabalize it, we air dropped 30 tons of gourmand to each iterator facility. The 4 gourmands kept the ecosystem healthy, obliterating a large portion of the population each cycle. The gourmands simulated the rain cycle, and it was safe for creatures to roam while the gourmands were asleep.

We accidentally dropped a gourmand directly onto one iterator structure and it fully collapsed, that iterator was let off easy we suppose. That iterator won't be water edged, but they got gourmed.

We have obtained these gourmands through illegal, and likely sinister means.
