Writer’s Month Prompt List 2025

As in previous years, we are once again hosting Writer's Month! A month-long daily prompt challenge! Each day, we present you with two different prompts, because we like to give an alternative if someone doesn't vibe with the daily prompt so there is an additional setting prompt. You can choose to write either of them or both, that is entirely up to you! The goal is to have fun and get some writing done.

This even is open for all forms of writing. Original stories, fanfiction, poems, haikus, drabbles or novel lengths. We don't dictate what you write or how you write it; all fandoms and all ships are welcome in our event.

Could I ask for some hcs about Berkut, Valter and Lyon with Summoner who's an amazing baker?

shit man i cant bakeberkut:-probably had some kind of private chef deal. ate good food all his life and has (probably?) good judgement of how good your food is.-but once he eats your food, he can’t eat anything else now. look what you’ve done. you’ve done spoiled him to a new level.-i mean he loves you in general, but your baking,,,,,10/10 superb-he always stops by the kitchen to smell whatever’s in the ovenvalter:-has 0 care for food honestly. maybe he’s a picky eater?-very surprised at your cooking. oh damn? the lil mouse has amazing talent?-gets greedy…..he wants more……more food :eyes:-wants you to bake something specially for him one day.lyon:-100% very appreciative of anything you bake.-he cries when he first tastes your food. gives him good vibes and good memories. very thankful to you.-wonders how you can do it all…….smart + baking?? and able to spend time with him? that’s so good.

Who is Gladnis?

Gladnis is the common ship name for the pairing of Gladiolus Amicitia and Ignis Scientia.

What is Gladnis Week?

Gladnis week is a week long appreciation (Monday - Sunday) of Gladnis. Anyone can take part and we’re open to all sorts of media from fan fiction, fan art, fan videos, etc. Anything you want to do to celebrate you can do.

When is Gladnis Week?

20th August - 26th August 2018.

Will you be doing prompts?

Yes! Suggestions for prompts can be submitted for consideration. After a certain amount of time we will post the prompts and ask you to vote on your favourites. These prompts will be the prompts for the week.

What kind of prompts will there be?

That’s completely up to you. We’re looking at maybe 2-3 prompts a day to give everyone a good choice in which to glean inspiration from. They could be dialogue prompts, situational prompts, NSFW prompts, the world is your oyster!

How can I submit prompts?

By using the ask feature on Tumblr or by getting in contact with me via DM.

How long do I have to submit a prompt?

Prompt submissions will open on Monday 14th May and will stay open until Friday 1st June. Voting will then start Monday 4th June and will continue until the 29th June. Until which time you have almost two months to create and be ready for August 20th.

As I am writing a prompt fill in my own native tongue, it occurs to me that we have never explicitly stated this before, since it felt implied. But for the people who are reassured by being told clear parameter:

Writer's Month is not just an inclusive event in regards to writing forms, the inclusion of all themes you want to write about - no ship shaming or kink shaming - it is also an inclusive event for you to write in whatever language you are comfortable.

If you want to write for the prompts in a language that isn't English, you are free to translate them into said language. The event is not limited by the English language, it is only limited by your creativity.

Interpret our prompts however you want, in whatever medium you want and in whatever language you want.

hiya! i was just wondering for the pride bingo, is there a limit to how many squares a fic can complete? like, is this a 1 or 2 squares per fic scenario or could you complete as many as fit the fic? -💙

Hello there!

You can fill multiple prompts in the same story if it's a chaptered fic and each chapter checks a prompt, but cramming all of them into one oneshot would kind of defeat the purpose of our event, which is to motivate writers into writing more! ;)
