heyo! so i had this WIP sitting in my drafts and basically the plot is that Montreal wanted to make a Mythic Quest movie and they're sending in the new director to the studio and the new director happens to be abed nadir

"Uhm, okay. When is this new guy gonna arrive?" Poppy asked Ian, pointing at the elevator.
"Hopefully never." Ian mumbled under his breath.
The entire staff was waiting in the main room, staring at the elevator intensely, waiting anxiously. No even has ever been this suspenseful since PootieShoe was giving his rating on Raven's Banquet. There was lots of chatter, whispers and gossip going around on who this mysterious new employee is. All they knew was that the person to step out of that elevator was going to be important.
*Ding!*
The room fell silent instantly.
The elevator doors creaked open. Revealing the mysterious new employee.

Twenty minutes ago, Ian Grimm called a staff meeting to discuss the making of the Mythic Quest movie. The team noticed is that Ian was on edge and frustrated. That usually mean't he wasn't getting what he wants. They knew that he had just been in a call with Montreal, so whatever he was going to say wouldn't be good.
Storming into the room, he told the team the news.
"Montreal's not going to let me direct the movie!" Ian shouted, pulling at his hair in frustration.
"Wait... what?" Poppy asked, confused. "What do you mean by that?"
"Montreal isn't going to let me-- or *anyone* on the Mythic Quest team-- direct the movie." Ian complained, rubbing his forehead in frustration.
"That's insane!" David stepped in. "They can't do that! Who'll even be the director if it isn't anyone here?"
"That's the thing!" Ian said. "I don't know! Montreal's hiring someone from the outside."
"Wait, like someone completely new? Like a stranger?" Poppy asked.
"Yeah! We don't even get a background on this guy-"
"Or a girl. Could be a girl." David interrupted.
"-or girl. Guy or girl-"
"Or they could be non-binary! Right? Right? I'm inclusive!"
"Yes, okay. We don't even have a background on them. We literally don't get a say in this."
"So, what do we do?" Poppy asked.
"Montreal said they're sending them in today."
"Today?!" David exclaimed.
"*Today*, today?" Poppy added.
"Yeah, pop, *today*." Ian said grimly.
Brad stood up. "Okay, I don't know why you called me here, but I'll be in my office doing actual work."

Everyone, except Brad because he was doing 'actual work' in his office, was staring at the opening elevator doors.
The new director stepped out.
The room was confused.
David was the first to speak up. "Brad?! I thought they weren't getting someone on the team!"
The man in question turned his head slightly, indicating confusion.
Ian was next to speak. "Brad, I thought you were in your office."
"Abed Nadir, actually? I'm the new director."
...
"Didn't they tell you?" Abed asks. "I'm directing the Mythic Quest movie?"
